I am looking for people to create texture packs for each of the races (an elven texture pack would look elegant, while an orc texture pack might look more rugged) If you want to apply to create a TP please PM me or AmazingSniper.

Support
Making these challenges are very time consuming and take a lot of work, please show your support by advertising to friends about these challenges! Possibly they'll want to give them a try! That would mean a lot to the team. Any other ways of showing your support work just as well!
Can I join the team?
- It's great to see people wanting to help out, PM me or AmazingSniper for more information!
I have an idea, can I give it to you?
- Sure! Any way is fine, over PM, or just put your idea right in the thread if you want! Most likely the idea was already said though, as our team has a lot planned for the challenges.
Can you let me know about any upcoming ideas/features?
- Sorry but no, we want all out upcoming updates to be kept surprises.
Can I put up pictures of my progress?
- Yes! We all love seeing how others handle the challenges.
Can I do some, or all of the challenges in the same world?
- Yes! In fact the challenges were kind of made for all of them to be made in the same world, it would be awesome to see them all together. Of course, you would have to get rid of all your supplies and such every time you do another challenge.
Do you have any servers we can get on?
- Look in the Servers section!
When are you going to update?!
- You must remember, we are humans too! Therefore we have lives and take breaks, have problems to deal with, or are too busy. But don't worry! We're not quitting; believe me, if we were we would tell you. Just be patient; believe it or not this is a lot of work.
More FAQ will come as questions come up.
Basic Rules
- Survive in any way you can think of
- You must follow all the races rules
- You cannot move onto the next stage before completing all the requirements of the one your currently on
- Must play on easy or harder
- Must play legit, mods are allowed, but no cheating mods.
- You may use any items found in NPC villages/dungeons/mineshafts even if your stage does not allow you to craft them
- Must use the correct tool to gather the correct resources, except at the very beginning to get your first axe. (axe for wood, shovel for dirt, etc.)
- (Optional) Spawn with the Bonus Chest. (If you get any items you can't use until the next stage don't use them.)
- Buckets and shears do not count as iron items. These are the only items you can smelt iron for until it says so.
- If a challenge says to make a melon or pumpkin farm, and you can't make those, then use carrots or potatoes, if you don't have one of those, you may change it to a wheat farm.
These rules are optional, if you really want to, play it your own way!
Here is the order of items you can use as you go up in the challenge.
1. Wood
2. Stone
3. Iron/Emeralds
4. Gold/Redstone
5. Diamond/Obsidian
So if you are allowed to have stone tools, you can mine iron but cannot use it for anything (other than buckets/shears). If you are allowed to have iron tools, you can mine gold, redstone, and diamonds, but are not allowed to use them.
Gathering requirements
Say you need two stacks of wood for stage two, that means, WITH the stack of wood you had to get in stage one, you need to gather two more stacks, meaning you need three stacks of wood in total to meet the requirements. That means gather two more stacks, for a total of three. Not that you need two stacks in total.

You've just walked into life and don't know what anything is. (If I find something I missed that you cannot collect/craft somewhere in the challenge, let me know)
- Go in order. Don't skip around the challenge, just go down the page, one by one.
- You can not go into water until it says so. One block deep pools are acceptable.
- You can use shears automatically. Your allowance is to smelt ONLY two iron at once, JUST to make shears. That is it.

what does the mod to?
The mod is optional, but so far all it does is add a gnome and caveman mob, and a club and stone battle axe. Don't worry, we have a lot planned for it.
Also for those waiting, I will have the challenges fully updated before today ends.

Posting in the new thread so I can keep track of it easier. Castle design in process. To make my life easier on the noble houses, rather than design them all *right now* I'm going to allot a plot of land for each noble, who will be able to build whatever they wish upon it. With seven lots, plus the castle walls, plus the library, bathhouse and wizard's tower, I'll be able to determine how large the island needs to be. Woo! As it stands, the castle is going to be 35 x 35 x ca 35 blocks, before walls. The servant quarters, while within the walls, will not be directly attached to the castle. They are servants after all. The castle walls will also contain a stable for the horses I wish I had. (Note to self. Post suggestion on suggestion forum.)

Pics will be available once I finish Stage 3. This really has been the longest part of the challenge and the most difficult. Only because I decided against making the noble houses cookie-cutter. And decided on having the castle town sit on top of a floating island. Castle planning is mostly done. Just have to figure out interior of castle and how big of an area the walls will encompass. I'm thinking roughly 100x70. Wider than long that is. I'm thinking each 'plot' of land being 30 x 30. With just the wizard's tower, bath house and library left to determine size of. plus a little extra area to give some space between plots. It is going to be a stupidly big island, I think.

Scouted out the location for the island. It's going to require a lot of deforestation. Also did the math and it looks like I need to set it at about 200 blocks, which gives me enough room to be below the build ceiling and have enough room under the city to build the mountain tops. Which will be about 130 blocks "tall". So I might have to "moosh" mountain tops together to make it look right. (Which will also look cool.) So 280 x 260 blocks at 200 high. I think my "Extreme Hills" Biome might just turn into "Plains." Also, I didn't notice, but did the challenge have any rules against building a cobblestone generator. I think the way I might work the island is actually build a generator up there and grow trees so I don't have to traverse to the ground all the time. I can use wood from the trees to make charcoal for keeping stone made and torches. The only thing I'd have to come down for is wool, (I need a lot of red, blue, yellow, orange and green wool it looks like), iron and sand for sandstone or glass. Oh and I'd have to bring seeds so I could make bread to eat while I was up there...

So the work thus far:
- Moved all of my stuff from from the encampment site near the hill I was tearing down to my platform near my massive deforestation project. Using it as a staging area to get everything to the island build site. Tore down the house around the mineshaft I built at the encampment site and now it's just a shack in the mountainside for the mine. I'll have pictures of this when I post the end of stage 3.
- Started work on the island. Decided to start with the actual top(bottom?) at 200 blocks. This way I can put my main construction materials there instead of leaving them at the new campsite. It's rather... precarious at best. The way up is a series of ladders. Three 10 (ish) block ladders and then a 120 block ladder to the top. The way down is the same... or diving into the nearby water. I need to put a few breaks on the way up so that I can work on the lower levels of the island. Otherwise it'll be a giant, one block deep, floating disc. The game does get a little laggy while up that high though. Funny how that is. Eventually the way down and up will be more "ramp-like" in that it will be several blocks and half blocks so that you can walk right up it. This is likely where one of the guard posts and a "wayfarer's inn" will probably be located in order to allow people to sleep on the way up. Heh. After all, it will be approximately 240 or so blocks long. Yeah, that's only 240 meters, but still... Plus I'll need to keep it well lit and fenced with a gated fence at the bottom to keep mobs off of it.

Wow? Nothing from anyone for a couple of days? I hate to double post, but man... where is everyone?
So the quick and extremely dirty update:
- The floating island is currently under construction. The top layer is large enough for the castle now, of which, the foundation has been laid. Castle walls as well.
- The servant's quarters is mostly finished. Just needs a roof and beds. The head servant's house has been started as well.
- With construction of various parts of the castle underway, it was time to return to the farming village to shear sheep of their wool. As of this point I need over 600 green wool (Dyed extra sheep green, will bleach them white once I am done.), about 400 blue wool... I don't know how much red wool, yellow wool and orange wool I need. A lot I think. I'll be there shearing until all four of my shears break. Then we'll see how much of what I have and still need.
To Do:
- Finish shearing sheep.
- Acquire more dirt to continue the island.
- Build construction layer of island.
- Build greenhouse at the village. Will require moving the palisade out some.
- Build castle.
- Build three of the seven planned noble houses.
- Build ramp down to ground level for ease of travel.
- Connect ramp to village by road.
Oh well, I have other things to do as well, and I am not as detailed in updates ^^
So I skipped the small update I might have been able to make, referring to my usual link where I added 1 new pic showing the entrance to the castle with a small change.
I am still thinking on how to extend and upgrade and add rooms and am gathering different materials in the bit time I have. Telling you people I was exploring the surroundings a bit and looked for new places to mine for iron for tools so I can clear the grounds somewhat faster.... and I guess I need to make some screenshots for the few changes of my town... the wall has grown and I have added a coke oven from a mod, the second one still being constructed.
Well, usually I see more responses than lately, so it wasn't just you. What does that mod do?
As for me, I have a quick update before I head off to work:
- Finished playing Sheepcraft. Shear fun, I tell you. Actually broke all my shears... Still I misjudged how much blue I needed and came up a bit short on carpeting the first floor of the castle. Will have to get more.
- Went back to the village so I can chop lumber and extend out the palisade for the mayor's house and the greenhouse. Again, putting sugarcane in place of the melon seeds for the greenhouse as melon seeds are a lot harder to get. But doubling the space needed for the melon seeds. (I.E. 20 cane instead of 10 melons.)

FAQ
Basic Rules

The mod is optional, but so far all it does is add a gnome and caveman mob, and a club and stone battle axe. Don't worry, we have a lot planned for it.
Also for those waiting, I will have the challenges fully updated before today ends.

So that's my current update.
Then stage 3 will be finished.
But, Update!
- New banner from MidKnightDark!
