Decided to take up this challenge since I have been pretty uninspired to play Minecraft much lately. Finished the Wooden Age in two sessions, here are the pics.
Spawn point, not very promising. There will need to be a ton of terraforming to do.
Nice little cave complex right beside my spawn point, may turn into my first mine shaft.
Savannah to my left, was worried I would have to travel a long way for wood.
Desert everywhere else.
Completed Builds
Spider proof wall and keep
Animal pen and garden (got lucky and found a saddle and armor in a desert temple when I went looking for cows.
So I decided to start over with a new world. I was just spending way too much time and energy attempting to terraform this last world. Here is the final shot of what I was attempting.
So I have completed the wood age on my new world. Still going to be doing a bit of terraforming, but I like this one better.
Great challenge! Been having a lot of fun with it Finally got past the wooden age thank goodness I can finally get stone! Haha. anyway heres some of the progress I've made. I'm playing this on hardcore to make it a little more interesting I'll post an update soon as I get through the stone age! (if I can make it that far)
First off my Spawn Point (by the way this is my first time putting an image one here so I hope it works)
Next the Keep
Now the cows...
The wheat farm
Way out of the walls
And of course the chest with the required items
And finally the whole thing from the sky
Just as an FYI I totally forgot to add my bed and bedroom! Ha. Anyway it's there, my bedroom is the roof
I've been looking at this challenge for a while now, and never got around to doing it (mostly because time can be hard to come by). Anyhow, I've decided that I would attempt to try and complete it. So here is my progress so far in the Wood age. There is a lot of terraforming that needs to be done, plus I need to gather enough logs to make an actual wall.
Spawn point.
After a few days of clearing and building.
Entering the door at the base of the tower leads to this hallway. Potentially will be place for treasure room(s).
Going up the ladder leads to the courtyard area, with the door in front being my spawn point. Spawn point currently is just a room with a roof over it. Nothing special so no picture.
Side view with courtyard.
And now, the current view. Dirt outlining for future towers and place holder as I clear more land.

yknow i'm thinking im going to do this although i'm probably going to do it on my refugee to regent world alongside the refugee to regent challenge and although i'm a bit a ways from my spawn so it wont be at my spawn there is this beautiful mountain area next to where i've started my city so i think the castle shall be there. Although since i'm also doing the refuge to regent thing i may leave some things like maybe farms outside the castle and simply inside the main city.
I like the look of the outer wall but I have to admit that for my own building tastes I feel it would look better with a third layer of brick. Still fairly nice, though.

Hah of course I'm going to make the wall higher, once we get to the Iron age! =)
