So I had never played Minecraft before but my friend kept talking it up. He told me about this dark place called "The Nether" which was home to these super scary white things called "Ghasts". I never bothered to look up any pictures, and my young mind quickly created a super-scary mental image of ghasts.
So I start my first world and begin my house. Everything's going great until I look out my door and low and behold, a giant white thing!!!
Now I didn't want to die from burning so I shut my game off and didn't play for the rest of the day. I never realized that the nether could only be accessed through a portal, and there was no way ghasts could be attacking me on my very first day.
Next day I tell my friend what happened and he was really confused. So we went on my world together and he looks out my door.

"Dude, that's a sheep."
Since we're on the topic of the Nether, right after I bought the game my friend and I joined a multiplayer server. For some reason I found brewing really intriguing but I had no clue where to get nether wart. My friend told me to go to the nether and shave them off of a giant troll's back and I believed him.

First time I played Minecraft was 1.5.2. It was the demo version, I didn't know anything about the game, so I loaded up a survival world.
Proceeded to spend the entire minecraft day figuring out that only certain blocks could be broken with your hand (I didn't even know a crafting system existed that I could use to make tools). Was rather disappointed when I spent so much time breaking stone with my hand only to not get the block.
By the time night came round, I was surprised (and pretty scared) by the amount of monsters trying to kill me. Ran for my life before I decided to just hide in a 2x1x1 hole underground until sunrise.
For a while I just messed around in creative mode. I slowly learned though, through the internet, YouTube, etc. Minecraft has been my favorite game ever since (I've been playing since 2012). Although for a while I played the cracked version. I only bought the game by the time I'd been playing it for like 3 years.
lol XD
