I started in Beta 1.7.3, played classic and asked my brother, he bought the game for him and a gift code for me, i play like i used in 1.7.3, i dont enchant stuff, i think its a waste of diamonds and obisidian, and i knew some mobs where hostile, and my first house was a hole i dug up on the rocky wall of a hill, deleted that world after drowning in lava with diamonds, and i though golden swords where the best in the game...

My beginnings were a total failure as I went to go build my base on an island with two trees a flower and a cow, ended up with no island left and a bunch of resources with hide and beef with a bunch of dirt and stone blocks under me because a creeper spawned right next to me
After playing classic, I thought that you just hit blocks once to destroy them. After a day of punching blocks to no avail, it fell to nighttime and I was murdered over and over. That was my first world.
I walked up into a taiga (This was 1.5, and also I had peaceful because it said "less dangers" at the time.) and saw a pack of wolves. I got bored and punched them. Turned out wolves don't like a fist to the face. I managed to kill them, and built a hole-home in a hill. (I had watched a whole series of videos on this game) I was looking outside and thinking "where are the mobs?" I proceded to build a box home. Deleted that world after a while.
When I first played Minecraft at 1.6, I didn't know that I could place blocks sideways, so I had to place the soil to the desired level and breaking the soils below. Then during the night I saw a bunch of mobs and when I saw a skeleton I thought it was a girl holding a knife! At that time I didn't know you could sleep in beds, so I stayed up all night. That was some of the noobish times in Minecraft.
first time i played minecraft i dudnt know how to breck blocks so i keept tapping them. and after a long vidio i know how to breck blocks and mad a small cave in the sand but it had no light. and after 6 worlds a made a pecfull world where i made a small house with a wered looking sied house than i just looked for a server to play on and i still am to this day.
I spent too much time reading the wiki while waiting to buy the game, so I don't have a noob story. I have someone else's though.
My friend was playing around with SPC. He made a giant crater that went to the bottom of the world. I told him that if he punched bedrock for 10 minutes straight, the whole world would explode. He believed me.
That was a fun day.

My first day of Minecraft went like this:
-walk around and explore
-clicking to try and punch trees
-finally figuring out you have to press down
-met a spider
-quickly build dirt shelter
-see spider, thinking it was passive like the one I saw during the day
-you can guess the rest..
I first played Minecraft(pirated, I was cheap) in July, just after the 1.7 patch. I remember my first shack, which was on a beach, and was built of logs and dirt. I went to the Minecraft Wiki later and learned crafting and smelting basics. In my first actual good world, I had this kinda crappy cobblestone building as my home. I used to dig straight down a lot, and that is how i found my first set of diamonds. I remember zombies spawning in my house (glitch, the house was well lit and my bed wasn't against the wall), and I thought it was because a skull painting I had was "haunted". I also has a small rollercoaster going. I bought Minecraft on September 4, 2011 and now I am a pro.
