There's certain blocks that always just look good together, whether it's for building or for making an epic landscape in an adventure map. So what are your favorite combinations of blocks?
For building, I like to put birch wood, oak leaves, sandstone, sandstone slabs, and jack-o-lanterns together. Looks really clean and nice.
For building an epic landscape in a map, I would use (I know it's a weird combination) soul sand, obsidian, and water. For some reason, those blocks just look really good together to me. It's something about the colors, I know it.
I really enjoy the combination of Sandstone, Nether Brick and Stone Bricks mixed in with some Glowstone. It has a really nice look to it, and I abuse them to death.

lapis blocks and glowstone checkerboard, obvoiusly only use it in creative though. Lime wool and Green wool checkerboard, usually If I'm in the desert. Red wool and obsidian checkerboard, I have an obsession with checkerboard. :smile.gif:
There's always nothing like complementary wool colors...Blue and yellow are my favorite :smile.gif: Coupling it with some water and gold blocks is always fun to do too!
Also, has anyone played enough Minecraft to be able to build things in their minds? I have, and it's friggen scary. But on the bright side of that, I get to "play" Minecraft in school! :tongue.gif:
Obsidian and snow blocks O_O
Also the first time I saw a lapis lazuli block near water I had to squint heaps until I realised what was happening :blink.gif:
I don't really have a favorite I just keep on changing and experimenting. But one combo that I do really like is wood planks, sandstone and cobblestone. I know that it might seem wired to some people but to me it looks pretty cool.

Anyway, post your favorites!
Yeah, me too. I overuse those a ton.
And another combination I like is Iron Blocks and Lime Wool.
