Wow, this challenge actually sounds pretty good. It might give it a try once im finished playing 'Tale of Kingdoms' (which is basically the sane things, only it automatically generates the buildings once you have all the resources)
After a couple days of work I finally have my 3 starting buildings completed. I really made them all a bit too large so it has taken a while, but it should speed things up later on when I start making the outer wall and such. I am now gathering supplies in preparation to defend the town for a night. Then on to building their wall!

maybe as a side quest or even part of the main quest.
Cold winter nights
The villagers know at the door of your domain. The nights are cold and they lack the strength to hunt the wild sheep that roam the wilderness. They plead to catch a few of them and raise a building to keep them in. So that the villagers can use their wool to make clothes and warmer blankets.
The exact requirements.
Build a barn and bring/raise 6 sheep inside. Add a chest full of wheat to feed the sheep and a pair of shears.
What (If anything) you get by doing it.
Thanks to the heavy work of the villagers, they now have a regular supply of wool for you that you can use in the decoration/building of your home.
Demonic Influences
A young boy from the village had broken out in a strange fever. His eyes are glowing and he has spontaneous fits. The only cause could be... the Ghasts.
Objective: Obtain at least one Ghast Tear, make a healing potion and give it to the boy.
Reward: You are told of a ruined stronghold, far away. You are also told of a portal, deep inside, which leads to another realm.

I've got a creeper and I'm not afraid to explode it!
It's not dead yet. I am working on Stage 2 right now, and will hopefully post pictures soon, if Skyrim doesn't eat my life as completely as Dark Souls has recently done.
Recently, mysterious monsters know as "endermen" have been attacking our people and taking apart our town. We wish for you to kill some of theses beasts to defend the town from these demonic creatures of the night. A nice reward will be given if you do this. One fact about these deadly creatures, don't look at them in the eye.
You need to be in stage 1 to do this challenge and completed the "Pest Control" challenge. You must kill 10 "endermen" and bring back their strange pearls that they drop. You must bring 10 pearls along with killing the ten "endermen" 15 pearls will grant you a extra reward...
The villagers are happy for helping you defend there town. You must give the 10 or 15 pearls away though as a gift. If you kill the ten and bring the 10 pearls, you will get 3 pieces of bread ((note you can spawn any items as you get from the reward for TMI and Inv edit. For the rewards only!)). If you completed the extra challenge you can also spawn yourself, 16 arrows and 1 uncooked fish.
Pest Control
Every night mobs try to kill our friends and destroy our town. What drives us crazy the most are those spiders and skeletons. The skeletons always shoot their painful arrows at us, sometimes even killing a few of us. The spiders scale our defenses and attack people when other mobs can not. So please, get rid of a few of these monsters to let us sleep safe at night.
You need to be a Stage 1 like the other mission. You must also always wear a chest plate during this mission so that a skeletons arrow does not hit you in the heart. You must kill 10 spiders and 5 skeletons. Spider Jockeys count as 1 spider and 1 Skeleton, Cave Spider count as 2 spider kills.
They lack still some thing to reward you with but they do have a few things. They will give you 5 rotten flesh and you get to keep the loot that you have gotten. If you kill a spider jockey, you my spawn your self 2 coal per spider jockey you killed.
I beat two super hostile maps, see of flame 2 and spellbound, have to finish more. Plan to do inferno mines for lulz and win when it goes out. Have fun!
Don't let this thread die! This challenge is a good one!

Great challenge! I love it, but can't do it because I have 1.8.1.
I also have a suggestion for the more blood-thirsty, murderous mercenary (or as gory Minecratf can get). It's a chain of missions. Could be side quests if you want.
Unfriendly Neighbors
For Stages 1+
Butcher
A nearby village has been vandalizing your town and have been interfering with the lives of the people there. The people of your village ask you to send them a warning to stop the harassment, or else they will attack them.
You know that nobody can stay strong and fit only living on bread and decide to butcher all the animals around the harassing village to show them how it feels to be on the other end of the trade.
Bring back all the meat and other animal remains to your village and give at least half of them to the village's altar to the gods, nicknamed the incinerator.
Bad Harvest Season
Apparently, your warning went unnoticed. You must completely destroy their crops and then burn them. You must sneak in during the night and destroy all their crops. Make sure to trample the soil afterwards so that the warning goes even deeper.
Then, make a fire in the middle of their village and throw all of their crop in it. Place a sign there saying (anything you want really, just make it a warning or something like "Ashes are more effective for storing crops").
Sabotage
They have not learned at all. You must go in the village, desecrate one or two of their buildings, preferably the tower/church building and the smithy. Then, you must make one or two of their resident disappear. Place a sign in their home(s) telling the village to stop their foolishness or "disappear" like their friends
WAR! Part 1: Preparations
It has finally come to this, a war between the two villages! The villagers turn to you to teach them and fight for their homes, for they have a nice reward for you if you agree and help them eliminate the undeserving residents of that vile village.
You must supply the villagers with weapons, swords, axes, and bows and arrows, and store them in the main house (either the house in the middle of the village, or the biggest house in the village).
You must also train them for combat. Set up a few dummies for them to fight. Show them your amazing moves and ability to kill multiple enemies without suffering a scratch.
You must also teach them how to be stealthy. Show them how to use the terrain to hide from the view of your enemies. Amaze them with your ability to kill an enemy with a bow without even being seen.
WAR! Part 2: Sneak Attack
You must sneak into the enemy village during the night and set fire to a few houses and poison their well (if they have one. Just throw some "bad" items inside like a potion of poison, a fermented spider eye, a slimeball, anything of that sort of disgusting and poisons things.).
You must kill any villager that has seen you, but try to stay hidden, so that most of them can live to see you big plan to come...
WAR! Part 3: Annihilation
You must attack the village in the middle of the day full force. Arm yourself with explosives and other weapons. Rig the whole place with explosives and detonate it. After you detonated it, go in and massacre everyone still moving. Burn them, slice them, impale them, shoot them, explode them... just kill them all.
Meanwhile, don't forget to set fire to anything the can burn withing the enemy village. You must remove any last trace of the inferior race.
You come back to your village as a hero. They will now treat you as a hero and give you anything you want (that they can supply, of course.).
Rewards: You get the pride of single-handedly destroying the enemy. You will also get the ability to take anything from the village that you want. That means if you want to, you can destroy a house or two to expand your great fortress, or taking things from a house that you need, like the smooth stone slabs and iron bars from the smithy.
You also get all the trophies form the battles. To the victor go the spoils!
A hole as been made in the wall because of those hissing creepers. The villagers want you to reinforce the wall and kill a few creeper for safety. They hate the nightly hisssssss of the creeper.
You must be in a stage 2 to do this task. You must kill as many creepers as you can so you can make 16 tnt. Also you must reinforce the wall with slabs or bricks.
THe villagers are greatful and let you keep some of the Tnt. You get to keep 1/4 of the tnt you made, the rest goes to the town for later.

This is amazing! It's like rpg but do it yourself! I'm excited to start, but I was just wondering, do you make the village yourself, or do you find one (NPC VILLAGE)?
Sorry all, I was on a trip. No pictures, I see.... interesting.
Anyhow, more pressing business. I see there are alot of user suggestions for new missions. Should I post a poll and take the top voted 5 or so, or should I just add them all? I figure that's as much my decision as it is everyone else who uses the challenge, so I leave it in your hands. Poll or just add them all?
Animal Farm:Now that you have a home you need some delicous meat and leather armor to celebrate! Goal: Trap at least 2 cows in a 2 deep hole near or in your house and use wheat from the village farm to make them breed with eachother thus making more food and armor.
This is basically what im doing right now as i do this challenge.

Idk. I don't want it to die, but there isn't much left to discuss. Usually, a thread dies when the OP abandons it.

I have this thing bookmarked all the way.
Going to do it over thanksgiving break.
Also: Add them all, unless they sound unreasonable.
