Does Anyone know of a good no-lag screen recorder for Minecraft?? I got a mike and I wanna start a new series of trying out different custom maps, but I dont have a good screen recorder. All of them are too laggy. I'm on a Mac, so if there is any no-lag screen recorders on the app store please post the name in the comments! I would like it to be less than $20 but if it is worth it to pay more, post it anyways. Also, if there is a good downloadable one please (if you can) put a link in the comments. I would really appreciate it!!
definatly go with FRAPS!!!!!!!!
sure, bandicam is free, but it has an ugly watermark on it and it can lag a bit.
fraps does cost money, but if you can (not saying i did) get it for free, then its the ight choice,
its no lag, and much better quality.
I'm glad all of you read what he had to say. Every one of you suggested a Windows-only recorder while the OP states it must be for Mac.
I personally haven't tried any of the screen recorders in the app store, but why need to when we are provided with a free one! Open up QuickTime Player, then do File>New Screen Recording. Audio can be recorded from here too, provided you have a mic. I've used it and I its not that bad. Use Optifine and turn down your settings if you are having trouble. The only downside is that it records in full screen, so just make sure Minecraft is set to full screen.
No!!! Mac has a built in screen recorder called quicktime player. Once you launch the app, it'll seem like nothings there, but its up at the top, and then click file, then new screen recording.

Computer Specs: 4GB 1333 Mhz DDR3 RAM- 320GB 5400RPM Hard Drive- Dual Core Intel Core i5 2415M @2.3 Ghz- Intel HD 3000 Graphics- Only $1200! Yeah, I got a Mac, because I'm stoopid. Scratch that: Intel i5 2500k, 1TB 7200RPM Seagate Barracuda, Gigabyte Z68-D3H-B3, 8GB 1333Mhz DDR3 RAM, Radeon HD 6850, Running OSX.
Quicktime player is ultra-laggy. I just blew $20 on this screen recorder app thinking it would be good, but it turns out to be super laggy. I even bought a mike for it what a fail. But guys, thanks for all the helpful replys, I appreciate it. I will try bandicam because I can't afford another screen recorder app, and 10 minute vids are long enough for me! Thanks, peoples.
I've made the combination between xFire and Fraps. xFire usually does not detect Minecraft in game as it's in a window mode, and you have to enable the large mode manually - so upon opening both xFire and Fraps, you are able to record through Fraps, however with xFire's quality, and size. Great stunts.
I use FRAPS but that really a bad idea. They don't have what we call a FULL SCREEN RECORD, well at least It doesn't work with MC
Did you see the first or last post? MAC.

Let’s play good guys against bad guys… Yes. Let’s play that. Are you ready? You’re the bad guy. And when you’re bad, you just run. That’s fine right? Well… Shall we play?
Bandicam, free version can go up to 10 minutes. If you're lagging with Screen Recorders, lower the recording resolution and the Quality.
Again, MAC. Read the first post.

(unless you pirate it)
Why are most of the people who replied incapable of reading his post? MAC. Fraps isn't for Mac!
