oops. XD
then, i say, that the most useless item has to be the nether star. nobody goes through the hastle of killing a wither and if it does have a use then it is to confusing to understand.
the nether star can be used to make beacons which can give all sorts of handy buffs while you're near them and they also provide a reliable way to find your house from a distance day or night. Also, for more personal reasons, it's a trophy for killing such a powerful mob
Yeah, I'd also have to agree with poisonous potato. They can't be replanted and be used to breed pigs and also can poison you. At least rotten flesh can be used for healing and breeding wolves.
Anything made out of gold is completely useless in my opinion. Apart from golden apples.
I also really hate dead bush and sponge.
I consider gold tools as a quick booster (but armour is still pointless). They may be weaker than wood but they are faster than diamond along with high enchantibility. Good for quickly clearing a moderate amount of blocks quickly.

Gold armor and weapons (from mob drops) can now be smelted into ingots (along with iron armor, weapons and tools).
Dead Bushes can give you sticks (and some people use them for decoration).
Sponges are useful for clearing water.
The most useless item is the drinkable potion of harming.
Drinkable potions of harming can be crafted into splash potions, and that's useful.
The Ender Dragon Egg has been used for interesting machines, and it can be used to break bedrock, and that's very useful for some people (it's also easier than the funky piston/TNT method).
The answer to this thread is definitely the Poisonous Potato. It kind of amazes me they haven't made that into a crafting ingredient for something (potions would be the obvious option), but they haven't, so it's completely useless (unless you consider poisoning yourself useful).
GUYS THIS IS THE MOST USELESS THING: Cauldrons. its nothing else but a limited amount of uses for waterbottles, unlike just placing just a normal water bucket. this defeats more its uselessness rather than the bush because you could use that at least to decorate a map that requires a desert or use it for an ironic joke or wahtver

The cauldron allows you to have water in the Nether, and as already mentioned above, you can wash layers off of banners (and dye from armor as well). It can also act as a power component for a redstone comparator with an output of 0-3. Oh, and cauldrons can collect rain water. I have also used them as decoration elements in some of my builds (most recently to disguise my infinite water source as a well).
Feathers as well! once you either have a skeleton grinder or infinity on your bow...book and quilt? How many will you do. if at least, you could create wool blocks with them...useless.
Poisonous potato. It is useful for no crafting recipes and cannot be used with any other item or block. All it does is take up space and lower your potato yield from your farm.
I think it's high time a potion recipe was released using poisonous potatoes as an ingredient.

Gotta go with the poisonous potato here

You can use cauldrons to remove layers from banners.

Awkward potion is the base for most of the useful potions. That makes it one of the most important and useful potions.
It was still useful for making lapis blocks, which is a nice color for building things.

carrot on a stick. you only need it to steer a pig while riding it. otherwise you can just make the pig follow you with a carrot.

Diamond hoe
I don't know why everyone always says these things are so bad but still I would rather craft a few stone hoes
Dead bush
They don't look good and they are so hard to get
Nuff said
Cauldron
You can just use a water source instead to fill up your bottles
Clocks are so useful when you are mining, tells you when you need to sleep.
There are more but I can't remember them
They can be used to create a potion of water breathing
Only thing I use gold for is powered rails and I struggle to get enough for them as I lay lots or track.

what about Golden Carrots, or did they not exist when you posted this?
Never actually made a golden carrot, but will probably do so soon as I need some night vision potions to raid a monument.
I'll still go with the poison potato as most useless.

The point of poisonous is having no point.

They have the highest saturation value in the game and can be used to make night vision potions. Not useless.
Oops, I was trying to reply to a guy who said that Gold was useless and that it didn't craft anything useful either, but Golden Carrots are useful
