A lot of people mention the dead bush, or dead shrub as it was originally called. I actually like that item, I think they can make pretty good decorational items, they look cool in pots as well. Always liked them since they were added lol, guess that's just me
I think that the most worthless item is an enchanted (costing 30 points) "Diamond Sword: Bane of Arthropods 1." Those types of enchantments really need to be removed from the game..
Why Silk Touch and not Bane of Arthropods, which is only better (at level V) than Sharpness on regular spiders, which don't do much damage; Sharpness V one-hits cave spiders and silverfish (critical hits for regular spiders)? Or Thorns, which doesn't do a lot of damage (and not all the time) and wears out your armor faster (for armor, Unbreaking is also useless, but should be used on everything else).
For one example of how Silk Touch is useful, even with Fortune III you can't get back 100% of the glowstone you mine and glowstone is relatively hard/risky to obtain. Or what if you wanted to use an Ender Chest for extra inventory space? Only a Silk Touch pickaxe can mine it without destroying it (only gives you obsidian). Or what about that diamond ore you found, but don't have Fortune III yet?
Also, I agree that a durability bar for anvils would be better than having three different anvils, which even appear as such in the Creative inventory, but stacking would have to be completely disabled (do you really need more than one anyway? I just replace it when it breaks). Having a fixed durability would also avoid the case where an anvil breaks in a few uses (I had one become very damaged in two uses before, although it lasted for many more afterwards), although on average you should get 24 uses.
Fireworks <--- It's so pointless no one in this thread even mentioned it because it's so useless.
Seriously do half the people playing even know they exist?
My fiance made me a huge heart in our courtyard and hooked up a dispenser with a daylight sensor so at night fireworks would go off. I may be crazy but because of that and that alone I love the little silly things.
How can you say silk touch is useless? You can get stone back instead of getting cobble then smelting it. You can get cobwebs, grass blocks, ores. Who doesn't want some diamond and emerald ores sitting around? ; D
Sponges serve no purpose and look like a big pile of barf. If only Jeb made them actually useful again...
Also, gold tools and armor. They break easily and they mine stuff VERY slowly. Though skeletons in gold armor look funny.
Lilypads too, they make traveling through the swamp by boat a pain
*cough cough* sugar cane farm *cough*
I say what bats drop. Nothing. Everything in Minecraft has some sort of use. Dead bushes are used as aesthetic in desert and mesa biomes, sponges can be used as corals and giraffes, gold tools have high enchantability and add realism to the game, the weighted pressure plate can be used to do... to be a... as a... wow I just proved myself wrong.
Lets see how many I can rattle off here...
Sponges, Gold Pick, Gold Axe, Gold Shovel, Gold Hoe, Gold Armor, and Dead Bushes.
I didn't say gold sword because it has a pretty good chance of getting looting, and you can use that in mob traps w/ harming(or healing if undead) potions.
Click them or they will click you
So tell me how one would move around? Air block is the only block you can walk through.
@OP: A golden hoe.
...
Oh yeah, air is so useless that we can live without it... It's not even an item
-Diamond Hoe
-Sponges
-Gold Armor(Last choice if theres no armor)
-Gold Tools(Last choice if theres no Tools)
Acctualy, never spend off gold for something useless, try to making have good effects ( Golden Apples, Golden Carrot, Gold block, Rail)

I like the End. What is wrong with liking the end?

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
My fiance made me a huge heart in our courtyard and hooked up a dispenser with a daylight sensor so at night fireworks would go off. I may be crazy but because of that and that alone I love the little silly things.
with the texture pack I use ferns are gorgeous. I have stack after stack of them. Dead bushes though-I agree!!

I love my dragon egg, It looks good in my survival world base as a sign that I defeated the dragon.
