Hey, guys I didn't play Minecraft long time I decided to start again. I did a mob trap to get items when I am afk but there is a problem with it. It just doesn't spawn many mobs I was afk around 30 min maybe more I just get 4bone 2 arrow 2 gunpowder It is so slow how do I get more mobs Maybe they are not falling into water Did they change how mob traps works? Last time I did a mob trap which is a long time ago I get more mobs and items (Note My Mob trap 25b height and close to my house which where I am usually afk maybe I am to close) What do you guys think
I think you should check whether they don't spawn or spawn but don't get killed, there is no way for us to know when you give no information about your trap.
They have changed how mobs path find, I think signs on the edge no longer trick mobs into stepping off the edge but open trapdoors should still work.
Have you taken steps to keep mobs from spawning anywhere else within 128 blocks of where you are AFK-ing?
25b? did you mean 256?
How far away are you when you AFK?
If you are less than 24 blocks away they won't spawn, if you are more than 32 blocks away they stop moving after a while and gradually despawn.
If they do spawn but don't fall you might be better off with a timer controlled flush system.
And if you are more than 128 blocks away they don't spawn at all.

Just testing.
