I have been away from Minecraft for a couple of years (just got bored with it), and just recently got back in, just in time for release 1.14. I've got to say I really like it a lot. Specifically:
1) the villager interactions are much easier to understand and deal with;
2) the illager raids add a nice spice of danger, even during the day;
3) Bamboo and scaffolding really make things easier to build, and make tall trees easier to harvest;
4) Sunken ships and buried treasures are nice diversions from the tedium of breeding and harvesting mobs to build up experience;
and I'm sure there are other things I haven't found yet. So, thanks to the developers for getting this release done. Now I have yet another excuse for not getting my work done!
