Made a Flush-O-Matic type MOB farm but by a slight case of being distracted, made the drop only 38 blocks instead of the intended 42. As a result, about half of the Endermen spawned in it survive the drop and wander around in the catcher zone till either I kill them( 1 swat with my hand even) or they go away. Actually, I'm surprised that any of them are killed. Cuts down on the pearl harvest and a real nuisance, but short of rebuild, I can't see a solution.
Make a raised floor out of magma blocks and have minecarts with hoppers running underneith?
Or cactuses?

Ok, I've Googled Flush-O-Matic mob farm and as far as I can tell all you'd have to do is replace the carpet floor with magma.
Though I wouldn't think that lowering the catcher zone would be much work, unless you have a lot of hoppers and chests set up or it would put an island in teleport range.
Nice concept. Currently I have the standard carpet overlay but I think you might be right about the magma. I'll try to work something out but I worry that it might destroy some of the other loot.
This is in my Ocean-Only world, and as of now haven't found any island with cactus.
I'm pretty sure that magma doesn't damage anything except mobs (and players).
Presumably the endermen could teleport to it which would negate the fall damage, so it might take longer for them to die but unless they have somewhere else to teleport to they should die.

I think magma would be better than cactus anyway, as I remember it cactuses are narrower than a block of sand so if you put the sand on top of the carpet mobs might not brush up against them, and they do destroy drops.
Cactus seems to only generate in desert and badlands.
If you have any cold ocean you might be able to find an igloo, they can apparently have a cactus in a flower pot.
(But if this is a Buffet World I guess you only get one biome, so unless you chose Cold Ocean you probably don't get any.)
If you're in 1.14 you might be able to buy some from a wandering trader.

Yup, my old MobFall farm used magma blocks on the drop platform for endermen that teleport down, and double carpet to block teleporting elsewhere (40 block drop killed most other mobs instantly, except zombie/skele with feather falling boots, which magma also kills). Drops are not damaged by magma.

Any suggestions?

Just testing.
