IDK I think they're actually scarier than creepers in some ways

you cannot see ANYTHING in water and to suddenly run into some creepy squid whatever to you is just horrifying, i mean yeah when creepers sneak up on you it's creepy; and a zombie might run at you out of the darkness, but a squid is unexpected, you cannot see anything AT ALL

Does anyone else agree or disagree with me?

**EDIT: Yes I WILL go in the water in search of them, I just find it scary, and NO I'm not afraid of water at all.

And i have had some bad quite scary minecraft experiences before, so yeah
And i'm not afraid of caves either, I will walk into caves with no light (stupid i know) just to get the near by iron.

***EDIT: how about goggles so you can see the goddamn squids and not get scared shitless when one swims in your face

I get kind of nervous around them, I don't know why... I really want to meet one soon though. They seem like nice people.

Its a game, its not scary.

They just float around looking drunk And then the mouth wow I thought they would be hostel when attacked but no they just made me nearly drown myself 3 times looking at them.

I have aquaphobia.. The fact that there wasn't any critters/mobs faffing about in the water made me a bit more secure to venture in when I was without a boat. But now-- No. I am not going NEAR water without an army of boats.
Just looking into that abyss makes me shiver, and seeing a giant octopus casually moving about makes me want to dry out all the lakes.

Swimming in deep seas without a boat should be hazardous. Water helps against mobs quite a lot since they're slowed down.

I'm pretty sure default character skin has cross/derp eyes too so what does it mean???

You aren't alone, anything with more than 6 arms really unnerve me. I see pictures of the squid here and think about how to get one in my house though ...

I was scared of them until I found out they weren't hostile. I got in game as soon as notch tweeted that the update was out and didn't read any release stuff. So I just stumbled upon them and spent about half an hour studying them before I finally noticed "they don't attack"

They unnerve me.
Why?

Yea they are kinda scary. if u look at the bottom of them u see there mouth and it has teeth :ohmy.gif:

if it's such a common issue, why aren't there more topics about it?

I thought they were cute at first from vids, but when I actually got to see them in-game they mentally scare me.
I DON'T KNOW WHY.

I am also deathly afraid of my mining shaft now. The mineshaft is a long straight tunnel from my house to bedrock. I previously added a water pond at the bottom to safely. I SWEAR ONE DAY I WILL DROP RIGHT INTO A SQUIDS MOUTH.

Actually i found squids cute.

Yeah, that's the thing that get's to people. Something like that dosen't belong on a mob that dosen't attack you, it belongs on spiders or something.
