Ok, so y'know how you can press F3 on the keyboard in Minecraft and it will bring up your coordinates like what level you're on? Well, I can't do that. I have a F3 key, and it works, but when I press it in Minecraft, it only makes the screen brightness go up because with this computer all F keys do something restricted only to that function, like volume, help, brightness, etc. I can't use them for anything else, so please help! Is there a way to remove their functions or a different way to know what level you're on?
This is less a question of "how do I see my coordinates" and more "I don't know how to use the F-keys on a laptop". Press Fn (function) and F3 (or whichever one) at the same time. This is not specific to Minecraft, it's just how laptops work in general.
Just to expand a bit on the above poster. Various laptops (and even certain keyboards in general) behave differently with their Function keys.
While most (in my experiences) default to the standard F1-F12 when being pressed, certain ones (like yours) default to their secondary functions (such as brightness, volume, media function ect ect) and in order to use the basic F1-F12 keys you will need to hold the Function key (generally between the ctrl and alt keys)

You think magic isn't real? Consider this: for every person, there is a sentence -- a series of words -- which has the power to destroy them.
