A very impressive façade, but one that [IMO] is oversized for the building. [Assuming the footprint visible in the pic is not just the gatehouse…]
Historically (which will be a good source on which to base a build one wants to 'look like' something), most of a castles walls would be quite plain.
The eleborate detailing you've used across the entire front wall would have been limited to an area immediately surrounding the gate – if it were present at all. (While 'castle' technically means a fortified dwelling house, most were built on a budget and placed more emphasis on functionalty: Neuschwanstein being a notable exception.)
A comparatively plain wall twice the height and thrice the length, and set back a few blocks from the front wall you've got, would be better able to support the level of 'activity' surrounding your gate.
Alternately, you might try removing the 2nd & 4th lava falls on each side, smoothing the areas between, lowering (& possibly narrowing) the gate and reducing the number of fires on the battlement.
(One of the dificulties of working with the 1-block/1-meter pixels of MC is that fine detail tends to need really massive amounts of space to look good resulting in builds taht are giant sized compared to the 1.8 block player. )
