I'm playing minecraft 1.13.2, java edition, installed in October of 2018. I just cleared a woodland mansion for the first time, and there is not a single chest. No chest room, nor do any of the other rooms contain loot chests. A few types of rooms I expected to find just weren't there. Is this just some random thing that could happen with mansion generation, or a bug, or what?
Just unfortunate generation. The 1.12 world I'm playing right now has no illagers on the first floor and only three chests overall, one of which is hidden with only mediocre loot and the other two having just saplings.
Well, I found a second woodland mansion. It had some of the rooms that had been missing from the first mansion, as well as chests with various loot. But, once I'd cleared the mansion and was ready to set it up as a base it burnt down. I have no idea why. There's no lava around. There were no mobs. I didn't use any flame weapons. I have no idea what happened.
Two mansions and so far I'm not impressed with my mansion experience in this game.
I swear to god this game is screwing with me. Got a third map to a third mansion. Traveled tens of thousand of blocks. Upon arrival it immediately starts burning down, before I even find the front door, because of the stream of lava pouring into it.
Reasonable rooms and loot, though I got two of the big empty chest rooms, and two big libraries upstairs that I thought wasted some space that could have gone to a map room or something that had more mobs. Comparatively few vindicators and evokers. I don't think there were any on the third floor at all. Hidden room with diamond shaped obisidian design surrounding a diamond block.
