Hi guys, I have been working on my slime farm which I have now finished and I went afk over night and no slimes where spawning, I used a slime chunk finder chunkbase.com to find the slime chunk and it hasnt been working. Just before anyone asks yes, I was 24 blocks away from it and my difficulty is on easy. The coords for the chunk are -927 -639 and -912 -624 the farm is on layer 39 but it doesnt seem to be working. If anyone can help me that would be muchly appreciated, the seed is 891204, thank you for your time.

I would guess that as long as your slime chunk finding tool is correct that the elevation of your farm is the problem. Slimes spawn in slime chunks below layer 40 and require 2 vertical free spaces to spawn. I would question if building on layer 39 means that there is only a 1-high area where they can spawn. I would suggest trying to dig down 3 or 4 more layers and see if that corrects the problem. If that doesn't correct the farm then I'd recommend scrapping the project and building a farm once you visually confirm you have a slime chunk spawning slimes.
What about the area around? Did you spawn-proof everything in a 128 block radius?
Can you post a screen with F3 info?
Also try this:
Build nether gate at your farm. Pop into nether, go about 40 blocks any direction, build a gate, pop back to overworld. This should cause anything in your slime farm area to despawn.
Now go back through nether to your slime farm and see if any slimes spawn.
Actually I don't think I did, and I'll build a nethergate or atleast try, thank you for the help and heres the f3 photo, I dug down a little bit because of the other people that helped, I afked over night but it didnt work, however I did get 5 slime from 1 slime and I saw a slime spawn in the farm so i guess its just not very efficent. If you have any answers for that please say so, thank you for your help.
That F3 is telling. You got 41 entities in the vicinity but can only see 3. You wait a bit, that number next to E will go to 70+. Thats the mobs in dark areas around you.
Okay, so I lit up the ravine and the stronghold that was next to it and Now its 37 entities and im looking at 1 now, I looked at ilmangos slime farm and I was thinking of doing that one, but the slimes arent spawning in the 16x16 area, sorry if I seem silly or something like that but I have no idea how a slime farm works and how my slime farm isnt working. As I said before thank you so much for the help

Slime farms will spawn their slimes below layer 40 at any light level as long as you are in a slime chunk. If you have seen even 1 slime spawn in that area then that would confirm you are in a slime chunk. From this point the issue becomes that this type of spawner will operate similar to a natural-spawn mob farm meaning it can/does only spawn slimes until the hostiles mob cap is reached. To increase the effectiveness of your farm the best things to do would be to add more layers for the slime to spawn on, right now you have 256 (16x16) possible spawn locations and each 16x16x3 level you add below the existing platform will give you 256 more locations slime can spawn. Once you've maximized the spawn potential of the chunk you'll want to start spawn-proofing every location within 128 blocks of the slime farm so no hostile mobs can spawn there. If you completely light up/slab the 128 block radius that will be loaded while you afk for slime then 100% of all possible hostile mob spawns should be inside your slime farm. Keep in mine that with 1.13 water is no longer an effective method of spawn proofing and if your farm is under an ocean you may as well choose a new chunk because you'd need to illuminate that entire mass of water.
Wow, thank you so much. Luckily and I made sure my farm is not underwater I think a little bit is but I tried to make it so it isnt, I went around and lit up the ravine, caves close to it and my base and everywhere I possibly could put torches. I will add more layers and when I was lighting up around the farm a slime spawned and I got 6 slime balls from it. I'll most likely add 3 more layers and I will turn my farm into a design made by Ilmango, if this doesn't work I think I will move onto a different project as it will be wasting my time, thank you so much for your help and thank you for explaining how slimes work for me, I hope you have an amazing day thank you.
Oh and I just found a whole other ravine next to the ravine I was at and a new part to the abandoned mineshaft and sorry for the previous mistake with the stronghold thing, I meant Mineshaft, but I lit up everything hopefully my farm will be better

Good luck spawn-proofing. Don't forget the surface as well, even though they'll mostly get killed during the daytime surface is a large spawning area too. I made a farm once and spawn-proofed everything underground but forgot the surface, after a couple game days there were enough creepers/spiders/endermen loaded that my farm wasn't working anymore. Felt like a real novice for forgetting the top.

Okay sorry for keep replying to you but I just found out that quite a bit of the chunk is in water I'll attach a photo, Should I scrap the idea and move on or get rid of all the water in that area? the stone slabs represent the amount of how much is water. I could fill it up with cobblestone but it is an extreamly big project but I have the time.

That doesn't look like too much. The problem with water is drowned can spawn anywhere in it with a light level of less then 7 but with as small as that area is you could easily spawn-proof the entire volume just using glowstone, seapickles, or drying it up with some sponges. I'd just bomb the area with light or remove the water from that relatively small area.

Wait... is that just the 16x16 chunk outlined or the 128 block radius? If that's the chunk and therefore the center of the area you are starting to spawn-proof then I would definitely seek one without 128 blocks of ocean to spawn-proof. If that's the edge of your 128 radius then I would stay there.

Technically Layer 39 goes from Y=39 to Y=40 so if you are on layer 39 you are at Y=40 which is too high.
But I presume you mean you are at Y=39?
Just testing.
Thank you, I'll see if it works if I fix that, if it doesn't I'll reply back
Okay, thank you so much, I'll see if that works
If you are answering me then nevermind, I can see that you are in the right place from the pattern of dirt and diorite on the floor and wall.
Just testing.

Oh and theres a big ravine next to it should I light up that or?
Oh yeah you bet you need to light it up.
So the good news is you ARE in a slime chunk.

Yeah don't worry i probably used 6 stacks of torches on the top alone so I think I'll be okay thank you for your help!
