So if anyone still plays minecraft these days, id like help with a problem ive been having. I used a website to find a slime chunk and i dug it all out exactly (5 blocks high) and it was below level 40 but none are spawning!! I am further than 24 blocks away and closer than 170 or whatever number it is!! I need slime for a lead so my horse can migrate from his tiny hole of a barn. Any help is appreciated! cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/368049299289800714/492010415790751744/2018-09-19_17.28.51.png
[For optimal rates in a slime farm the AFK distance should be 24<distance<32. Mobs can despawn randomly wit the chance rising as the distance increases from 32 until despawn is instantaneous (100% chance) at 128 distance. see https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Spawn#Java_Edition_2 (java edition used as the post is in a java specific area of the site) ]

X=191 Y=54
They're the co-ordinates for my current farm, if you use them on the website it should take you to the corner of a sime chunk and i checked i dug out the right chunk too, and no i didn't think of the website being out of date, im not sure what this admidst thing is, maybe ill just wait for the site to be updated?
(So standing on X=191 Z=54 and pressing F3 should show you something like "XYZ: 191.035 19.000000 54.678" on the tenth line.)
Anyway, X=191 Z=54 isn't the corner of a chunk, it's somewhere around the middle of the eastern side of your slime chunk so if you dug it out to the west of there you should be in the right place.

I presume you mean X=191 Z=54, Y is the height.
Curious, my guess was that he meant Chunk (191 / 54) from (3,056 / 864) to (3,071 / 879) which does show as a slime chunk in the Dec 21, 2017 (MC 1.12) version of chunkbase.
Using Amdist (see above post for links if anyone is unfamiliar with what it is or how to get it ) shows chunk 191 / 54 in seed -5220726525362658999 is a slime chunk located in a plains biome (NW corner is forest)
Interestingly (while I've not done an exhaustive check), the slime chunk distribution in both area looks the same in chunkbase and amidst…

Yea i did mean z not y ,sry.
I just checked and, sry, i meant Z=47, not Z=54
Those corners that you wrote are the corners of the chunk I dug out in the picture.
As you can see, X=191 and Z=48, and this is the whole chunk, as indicated by the grid.
Chunk (11 / 3) from (176 / 48) to (191 / 63) [or South and West from 191/ /47 as shown in the linked pics] is listed as a slime chunk by both chunkbase & amidst v4.3-beta4.
Slime are a comparatively uncommon hostile spawn, and it may take quite some time to see one – particularly if there are many other valid spawning locations. The ususal advice about lighting (or otherwise spawnproofing) as much of the surrounding surface and caves as practical applies.
Assuming you have the supplies, setting a simple cactus surrounded by hoppers 'mechanism' within the chunk while you do the lighting may generate a few slimeballs and confirm the status of the chunk. [Not efficient, but easiest to build – and all materials are recoverable when you move to something better.]
EDIT:
Using the seed and creative mode, I setup a minimal slime farm and have gotten -- NOTHING. Adding a darkroom below the slime from resulted in exactly 2 mobs in an hour, so it is not only slime for which the rate is not only so low as to be virtually non-existant.
Cold comfort, KB, but the problem seems to be several open bugs in 1.13.not_ready_for_prime_time
Currently trying a rail system to afk while moving between chunks 12//2 & 12//4 and have replaced the torches with floating jack-o-lanterns. [Clearly not a real solution for early game survival (when one builds a slime farm), but would like to see if this kluge will work. ]
Circa 10 hours in a minecart produced nothing (although one of the golems I had above a cactus glitched out of his cage) & a quick fly-around in spectator showwd only a single skeleton in the nearby unlit caves.
Apparently simply moving back and forth between the same three chunks is insufficient to kluge one's way around the various mob spawning bugs…
I seem to be having the same issue, I've dug out 2 spawn chunks next to each other but I don't seem to get any slime spawns, maybe slime finders not updated?
This is possible, but the apparent inability of the game to respawn hostile mobs of any type under some conditions (player stationary or moving only in a limited set of chunks) makes determining the accuracy problematic.
The accuracy of the slime chunk finders is something I would definitely want to confirm once the mob spawning bugs are fixed.
EDIT:
Chunk (11 / 3) from (176 / 48) to (191 / 63) is confirmed to be a slime chunk in 1.13.1 [& still massively buggy].
Two slime were spawned in the formely dark testing room I built (floor is Y35), and use of the /kill command in spectator mode to remove all entities but the player, golems, and mincarts showed respawns.
Repeated use of the /kill command, however, rapidly led to no mobs spawning, even after flying in circles around the area.
Quit to title and reopening the world also failed to spawn new mobs.

What version are you playing?
On what platform?
What website/slimechunkfinder did you use?
What is the seed?
Are any hostiles spawning?

If you have any swamps nearby (or even moderately far away) it may be quicker and easier to hunt slimes on the surface at night.
The closer to a full moon the better, no slimes should spawn in swamps when the moon is new.
Just testing.
In most videos, they usually dig out an area 10x wider than your current space.
yes but this is because they don't know if they have a slime chunk, i know this is one.
1.13
PC
http://chunkbase.com/apps/slime-finder
-5220726525362658999
No hostiles within the chunk.
Oops, forgot to ask for the coordinates of the chunk you're looking at…
On the platform, are you using the Win10/Bedrock version or java?
I've found that site to be accurate but have not used it in 1.13 [1.13 is still not up to release quality due to excessive lag IMO]
The page you linked says "Last Update: Dec 21, 2017 (MC 1.12)" so that might be an issue…
You might try Amidst (see https://github.com/skiphs/AMIDST/wiki & https://github.com/toolbox4minecraft/amidst/wiki/Using-Amidst ) which has at least beta support for 1.13 [&1.13.1??] and see if Amidst also shows that specific chunk as a slime chunk.
Current version of Amidst is believed to be v4.3-beta5 (see https://github.com/toolbox4minecraft/amidst/releases )
[Given the issues with 1.13, I've only DL'd v4.3-4 to date.]
Please report back on your findings as knowing whether or not chunkbase has a reliable 1.13 slime chunk finder would be of general interest.
BTB: pretty cool looking seed

Scot, i love your dedication to this thread, thank you very much!! But i basically have no idea what you are talking about xD.

THX. Despite the several truly boneheaded decisions implemented in 1.13, there is enough interesting material that I would like to try it…
The take-home from the links and my experiments is that: the issue appears to be due to unresolved bugs in the game.
Until MS/Mj gets its act together and fixes the bugs, there does not appear to be any way for you to make this work.
