I remember the first time I started a survival world, it was in a snowy biome, sometime in alpha. I saw a sheep, and started freaking out. "Oh crap, is that a yeti? I didn't know they had yetis in this game." I said as I ran, then dug a hole. And then of course I died somehow, in that hole I dug. How? I have no idea. I just started dying.

I rememer my first EVER map. It was only in the demo. The first thing I did was say" Woah, what is WITH these graphics?" I knew the basics of minecraft(Punch trees, get wood, don't hug the sad walking pickles, etc). I also could find the wiki so I looked up a few things like how to make stuff. However,I couldn't find out how to MAKE a crafting table and though they were only in NPC villages so I cheated to get one. I made an axe, thinking it was a pickaxe, and tried to mine stone to make a better one. I was confused on why I got no stone and why it took so long. After mining like 10 blocks, I got sick of it and went up. It was near night,so I dug a small pit and made a makeshift house. A walking pickle jumped in before I managed to finish it and it killed me. I thought this meant my world was ended,so I quit. That was my first ever experience.
I remember when I bought and downloaded the game, I was with one of my friends. We spent 3 hours trying to figure out how to make a server, then when we finally started playing, she ran off to find diamonds (without even knowing how to make tools) while I stayed behind to try and make a house. I was almost done when I saw a squid in the water nearby, and for whatever reason I thought it was going to shoot at me or attack me or something, so I ran...straight into a ravine. And died. (That was also the last time I played the game for a long time, haha.)
It was one of the best moments in my life, my father, sister and I started a small server together and played survival, making epic creations, buildings and art. This was in beta 1.2, and we still look at that world today (it was massive). We did pranks and explored together, it was awesome. We played for 2 months until version 1.3 and then my sister decided to leave so me and my father made a new world in 1.7.3 dedicated to redstone for learning (this was when pistons came out)
My first run was the demo. I looked up how to get started. Punching trees seemed simple enough. However, I didn't get the memo that you needed a roof on your house, and got jumped by no less than 4 spiders climbing over my oak walls. Terrifying. First thought: OHMYGODWHEREDIDTHOSECOMEFROM! Second thought (after I had died and was waiting to respawn): Oh, yeah. Spiders climb. Derp.
First time i played minecraft i bought it in the early beta and i started a map and in front of me was a skeleton and i died over and over and over again so i quit playing for a month...... then got extremely addicted.
Well, I spawned in a superflat world, thinking it's better, creative, because I got mixed up between creative and survival, and I thought it was survival. So I spawn, and I fly up in the air, double-jumping for fun, used to the flying commands in classic. I was all like *Oh, god, I'm STUCK!", and then I just clicked shift. Then I found some slimes. I was all like "What the heck are these?" and I killed one. I picked up the slimeballs not knowing what they were. When I read the title I was disgusted and I dropped them. Then I found diamond blocks in the inventory and got one, and then I was confused because the block wouldn't go away when I placed it! So I made like a strange lightning bolt thing by randomnesss. Then I found a pickaxe and I was trying to mine them out only to know that the blocks would disappear in one click and would leave no drop. Then I found TNT and placed a whole bunch and broke a whole bunch expecting for it to blow up my diamond blocks, and nothing happened. And then I deleted the world.
My first taste of Minecraft was way back in the day. My friends wanted me to check it out so I relented. I don't think survivial was even a thing when I first checked it out, but the server they were playing on had a giant stone room for pixel art and such. I made a couple pokemon and a pixel Spock and was like "this is boring."
Thankfully I came back to it later when survival had been fleshed out. xP Maybe that first experience is why I still don't like creative.
My first survival world was so pathetic, but I was super proud of it. My house was all cobble, the floor was purple, windows in random places, and a cart system that I'm pretty sure went nowhere. Beautiful.
I played classic when I was 9. Now I am 13. I started in Classic, in a single player world. I created a small base, wary of enemies that I now know don't exist. I then landed on Krylus server, which shaped my childhood as good as any life experience.
My friend had been trying to get me to play for about a year. I always thought it sounded stupid. Then one day I got bored and decided to buy it and see what it had to offer. Best. Idea. Ever! I started in the update right before the one with shears (1.6.6, I think) I remember the first thing I did, as well. Since I didn't know everything the game could do, I just walked around aimlessly until I came across a cow. I killed it by hitting it repeatedly and picked up its leather. Then, this is the good part, I discovered that there was not only an overworld, but layers upon layers of dirt, rock, and caves. I took my piece of leather and used it to dig about 20 blocks into the ground! XD After that I think I killed a zombie and came across an island of spiders, eventually making my first home in the side of a mountain. I still have my first world, in fact! I absolutely love Minecraft. So glad I decided to give it a go!
The first time I played Minecraft I didn't know you had to hold down the mouse button in order to break blocks. So I went over to a wood tree and kept clicking at it and was wondering why it wasn't breaking and giving me the wood. A quick google search fixed this issue.
I also remember the first Minecraft video I saw on YouTube was this one:
And I remember thinking how complicated everything looked. (Like the crafting system, house building, etc.) Now that I know a lot more about Minecraft I don't really see it as complicated anymore.
It was both scary, and exciting! I remember the first second I got it, I made a survival world, exploring and trying to figure out how everything worked, and functioned. Then I saw an enderman, which at first I thought was some creepy purple alien, I screamed the first time I saw one. Thus concluded my first day in the world of minecraftia.
Ah the good old days.

I remember the very first time I even logged onto minecraft. The very second I got the game and skipped over singlpayer and just went to multiplayer. I remember logging on and a spawn party was happening with a small number of people, I got super scared and thought I was invading or something so I disconnected. Later I rejoined and started a community with these people, we lived in the arc opening of a forest overlooking snow mountains in the distance, which we later built a roller coaster around to get up. I wish I could go back

Ahhhh... those were good, nostalgic times.
