Absolutely not. It was awful. It took me forever just to find iron.

Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.
I remember it very good. Back then, i didnt know that you can walk and control camera at the same time! I also made a bucket out of my first iron (actually later when i started playing CTM maps it was a thing i do all the time because good old "Lava Bucket Hoo!") and used that bucket to make an infinite water source by the lake. I built a huge box of jungle planks, without any lighting. I didnt have any idea that you could go mining like staircase down so i used a caves around my spawn, but they all were small. I deleted it (or better it was deleted) because that laptop i played on was sooo old so it burnt down or something.
I still have mine from Beta 1.3. I go on it sometimes, but, I don't move anything, or use my items, I just... keep it as it was. Nice to go on it sometimes to remember some old memories.
I remember my first real world back in beta 1.2. I had a mountain base covered in torches so i could see it from my beach house of sand. I had no used then for diamonds really, since it was beta 1.2, but i kept digging for them. One day, i was digging a staircase and found lava underneath a block. I was so into digging that i just walked right into it. I got very angry and felt as if the world was tainted. I deleted it that day. I still have many fond memories of it though.

"The moment one gives close attention to anything, even a blade of grass,
it becomes a mysterious, awesome, incredibly magnificent world in itself"-Henry Miller
I remember it. I had a hollow that I hand-built, I loved it. I would walk around my little area while listening to the in-game music. Then everything was ruined when I was forced to let somebody play it.
I never listened to in-game, non-jukebox music ever again.

Watch out for the crabocalypse. Some say the day will never come. But it will.
Feel free to drop by for a chat whenever.
If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.
My first world is the only world that I have kept over the years; I may occasionally play on other worlds but eventually I abandon them and go back to playing on my first world, which for my playstyle is no different from any other world (well, those other worlds, all modded, did spice things up by enhancing cave, and later biome, generation in various ways). So far I've spent 62 real-life days and 4,500+ in-game days playing it (without AFK-ing, which is pointless given my playstyle) and have probably set world records (as of a couple days ago I have mined a total of 1 million ore, including a double chest of gold blocks, and have used some 280,000 torches to light up caves).
Here's a rendering I made a couple weeks ago and some other screenshots (what I've since explored is relatively small; for scale the surface is about 6,000 blocks north-south with caves explored to within 160 blocks of the edges, the chunk load distance in 1.6.4; I started playing it in 1.5.1 and will never play it in any version past 1.6.4 - assuming that I even ever play any later version, I stopped looking forward to updates after 1.7):
This is my main base, near the center of the surface map; there isn't really that much to it and I currently only visit it once a week or so for a few minutes to store all the stuff I got while caving:
This is mostly a naturally generated NPC village:
In the center is a map wall made with fully zoomed (2048x2048) maps; I modified their rendering so they render like maps in 1.7+:
Note the pink sheep, which I found in the wild a few months ago and brought two back:
A few cats and dogs, which I quickly learned were not really that useful and left them sitting here:
Yes, each of those double chests (the signs say "Full") is filled with coal blocks, 75,000 in all:
Here is what spawn looks like in a recreated world; the seed is "-123775873255737467":
My first ever world was actually on Minecraft PE on my ipad.... I remember it really well. I built the crappiest looking house you could ever imagine, and I constantly died because I sucked at fighting off mobs.
Not long after that, I purchased the game for PC. I attempted to make a treehouse in that World because I was trying to be creative.. The treehouse didn't really end up looking that great...Then I got into the wonderful world that is mods and I don't think I have really played Vanilla Minecraft since then... Well apart from Servers.
Oh yeah I do! It was waaaay back in the days of alpha. I miss it, but only in terms of nostagia. I doubt I'd want to return to it other than just look around.

I've seen you a lot of times.
If you want you can message me, but...
Why do you only play in old Minecraft versions? you have stated that it's beacause of world generation but seeing that you are using mods, why not have a mod for 1.11.2 or any most recent version to create older world gen worlds? there are and you are missing awesoem features like the elytra or something that i think could fit your playstyle, the sulker box.
Or you may preffer to install mods that add recent stuff for your version?
I don't judge you, i'm just saying. I think recent versions are more stable.

I don't miss it at all, because it's still there. It's my main world, and even if the spawn isn't great (plains/deserts/plains/deserts), I can just travel the nether to my other bases.

Not really first world (it's empty) but I miss my third world (the first world I played seriously).
Dem nostalgias keep haunting me. Thinking I might never enjoy the game to the fullest again with new worlds.

Yes i do, it was a bugged world which had alot of unperfectly loaded chunks which means more chances to find diamonds
i lost my world when i updated to beta.
I remember the seed. It was a very creative seed. 1. If I load up beta 1.8 and enter it I can actually see where my house was.
Definitely wish I could visit my first serious world again.

Not really. My first house was made of sand and was about 5x5 on the inside.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
