Trying to jump across a gap that was far too wide. I survived though, but it took me forever to get back home. I had to sail across an ocean, until I ran into a squid. Then, I had to swim.
Well... Accidentally deleting my survival world that i had played for like half a year and built a lot of stuff and everything... Tears were shred... ;(
Also: Not pressing shift in some situations. (or failing to press it :D)
Finding my first diamonds ever. Then, after mining the first, letting my friend mine the second and the block beside it to release hidden lava and burning to death I deleted the world afterwards.
My dumbest mistake would still have to be the time I was mining away and I found some lava in front of me. Without any logic whatsoever, I just decided it would be a good idea to dig right below me...found more lava...still don't know why I did that.

- Hit a block for hours waiting for it to break but never realizing you have to hold the mouse button
- Building your first house out of dirt.
- Wondering how to craft pickaxes
- Thinking you can mine for all ores with a wooden pickaxes
And a lot of time's
-Getting trolled by your friends on you first day
I, actually, have never had ANY of these things happen to me. A while before I bought the game, I watched Minecraft on YouTube. So I had an advantage, sort of.
The noobiest mistake I made was during my first survival world. During Beta 1.2 or 1.3, I wanted to make an incinerator. So, right up against my house, I made this thing out of cobblestone. This was in my first world that I really played. Since I hadn't ever had any experience with incinerators, I placed the lava, and since the lava didn't touch my wooden home directly, I thought it was safe. But then, a flame. Keep in mind this was before fire was nerfed. The fire was getting uncontrollable, and I screamed "NO!", somewhat like a girl would if she saw her husband/lover get slaughtered before her eyes. I cried as I watched my work turn to ashes. Chests burned, too, and I think I managed to get most of my stuff. I had a big room I planned to be a living room, and after that fire, it was as if it was never there. After that, I rebuilt my house out of cobblestone, and moved my incinerator further away. If that happened to me now, I would have deleted the world out of fury.
If that wasn't my noobiest mistake, then it was deleting that world. Sure, I never got a single diamond in it, but, in the end, it was probably one of my favourite worlds, despite what had happened on that day. I thought I didn't need it anymore, but it hold the most important thing out of all worlds I have ever generated: memories.
Well, I made a huge city in the sky ... out of wood. I hade eveything dimonds, animals, even villagers. I've been working on it for weeks. We had a big storm. Lighting man caught a tree on fire and eveything caught on fire!!! I hade no choice but to jump. I thought there was water. Nope I was wrong I died and I hade to do everything over again.
My noobiest mistake was just recently, in an awesome peaceful world I was playing in. I was in my exposed stronghold, exposed by a ravine, and was climbing a waterfall to get out of the ravine. Of course, I fail at going up at all in minecraft in survival, so I fell out of the waterfall. And died from fall damage. Next to lava. I had valuables from the stronghold and adjoining mineshaft, and luckily most of my valuables were saved because it was just a stream. I lost my track, some cobblestone, and a stone pick. Luckily my iron pick, my diamonds, and almost entire stack of iron ore, and my books from the library hit the stone next to the stream. Funny part was I accidentally fell in the exact same place while I was getting back to my stuff. xD But I finally got my stuff back, and it was a good thing too. But I felt so noob afterwards, I swear....

Same thing xD
Unless, like me, you have a brain and use something called GOOGLE.
