Here is a a how-to video I used to make my own XP farm from KaspersMC. He is pretty funny and awesome.
You basically start with a dungeon and rig it to produce an infinite number of monsters, and hurt all of them to the brink of death, and collect them to a safe location where you can punch once (ideally) to kill them.
Here is the copy I made. I didn't have a skeleton dungeon, so I used a zombie dungeon. Not as cool, but good enough for lots of experience levels.
Find a dungeon, turn it into a trap, then make a space where you can hit the mobs as they come to you.
This is more easily done with spiders or zombies. If it is skeletons, you'll want to shoot them with a bow, and make it so they can't shoot back at you.
If you do turn a dungeon into a trap, you'll want to use water as the killing method rather than lava. But then you might run into one of 1.0.0's bugs, where water forms a layer of ice on it. This seems to occur with old worlds, not those newly generated in 1.0.0.

I've tried to duplicate it, but I ran across a few problems(playing on smp)
First of, I cant hit there legs, not a big problem although it places me in a bigger risk of getting hit and it wont work with skellies.
If i leave the clean block before the drop a zombie will just clog the system and everything fails, so I had to cut it short so the water pushes them down, this cause the 23 block drop to kill them, and a 22 block drop will take 2 hits to kill them.
Any tips on how to fix this?

Use a 22.5 block drop to kill them with 1 hit. Use fences on the bottom of the fall!
:wink.gif: Because I helped you, you should push the little green + in the bottom right corner. <3
Mobs can't drop xp orbs by dying from things that aren't yourself.
There's no "U" in "AWESOME", but there is a "ME"@Ebob101
And Ebob, i have to make some ender eye thingies to find the nearest portal!

And when you do that with a skeleton or zombie Dungeon , don't hit them but throw a splash potion of healing into the group.
