What's up my Minecraft fellows!
Sorry if you're getting annoyed by those topics from me. Ever since the Update Aquatic has come 2 days ago, I thought it was the opportunity for me to create an account in the forums, and share my Hardcore Mode experiences with you. Hopefully you liked how good I was doing.
So far I have 2 failed attempts...In the 1st one, I got killed by a cave spider (the world was made the day 1.13 was released and was deleted yesterday). In the 2nd one, I accidentally deleted the world instead of deleting another one, even though I didn't die and I was hoping to get it going for very long...(the world was made after I deleted my first attempt world and was deleted today :/) (You can laugh at me as much as you want, you'll cry so much when that happens to you.)
Now this is my 3rd attempt at this. Am I ever gonna get farther than I expected? Will I survive and thrive this easily or will the unfortunate event of death come? Find out later, you might never know
Screenshots are coming once I make a new world and finish playing on it. Wish me more luck because I'll need it!
EDIT: I also deleted my world this time :/ but this is still a 3rd attempt so please ignore the posts below until I create a new one.
EDIT #1.5: Explanation of the first edit in the 2nd post. I deleted the poll and re-created a new one. Sorry guys :/
EDIT #2: I decided this will be my final attempt. If you're not annoyed by my threads however, I can still make more Hardcore Mode!
Just figured out that when I'd turn 8 years old, the 23th of November 2011, my parents could have offered me Minecraft as a birthday gift. Sigh...

Okay guys I gotta explain everything...I'm so sorry...
What you might have seen earlier isn't the 3rd attempt at all. The REAL 3rd attempt is coming now, because I lost a little bit of interest in the previous world I'd made...I feel really guilty about this Hopefully you don't mind...Remember guys, I'm new to the forums so I'm trying to be respectful...
Anyways, screenshots are in my next (edited) posts. Be sure to take a look I also got REALLY lucky this time, you'll find out why

Have a taste of some screenshots!
--== Part 1: The Start ==--
Screenshot 1: WHAT the heck is this?! Out of all Minecraft worlds I've made, this is probably the luckiest spawn I've had... A Mushroom Island...um, I mean Mushroom Fields next to a jungle! Now I won't worry about mobs invading me (I know, the mushroom fields aren't separated from the jungle by an ocean, so mobs can still come and attack me, but I built my house a little far away from the jungle area.) I swear this is not a taken seed at ALL: the generated world was RANDOM.
Screenshot 2: Mining some stone with my wooden pick as usual. When I mined it I also found some iron as well =P so I could make iron tools early (pickaxe, sword, iron chestplate and leggings, bucket and shears.)
Screenshot 3: A sunset view of the nearby shore. I forgot to say but I also found some sheepies to make the bed I was holding on my hand when taking the screenshot.
Screenshot 4: Inventory check to end day 1. Pretty good I guess!
Screenshot 5: "Oh, I found some coal! I wonder if I should risk my life for it though... I don't see any mobs insight, so let's go and mine it all!" I also found some iron down that cave.
More screenshots in the next post (as well as my challenge list!)

Challenge list! If you plan to make a HC world (or just a plain Survival world) you can use some of these challenges!
- Acquire 64+ diamonds
- Acquire 30+ emeralds
- Obtain all advancements + "How Did We Get Here?" challenge
- Obtain every music disc
- Explore at least 1 of every generated structure
- Make farms out of all crops
- Make farms out of all animals
- Build a village near your base with villagers of all professions
- Do all the trades with the same villagers
- Make a monster spawner trap out of all 3 dungeon spawners (Overworld)
- Make a monster spawner trap out of a Blaze spawner (The Nether)
- If a mineshaft is found, fully explore it and try not to get lost
- Do not use AMIDST while trying to find rare biomes!
- Build a modern house (optional)
- Get all the mob heads
- Make 10 km railways that go in all sides (north, south, east, west) (NOTE: you can shorten the railways if you want, but if you stick with 10 km which mean 10 000 blocks this is gonna be much more of a long-term goal). EDIT: The railways will start from (0,0).
- Build pixel arts of your own choices (optional)
Screenshots incoming!
Screenshot 6: "Wow, what a close one! Thank God I didn't die..." Had a scare when I took that screenshot...A creeper somehow managed to sneak up on me and explode. Was I lucky, I only had little health down (boy, reminds me of my first attempt when I raided that desert temple LOL).
Screenshot 7: Working on my house. I'm not gonna get tired of that design, am I?
Screenshots 8/9: The finished product! The screenshot 8 is the outside and the screenshot 9 is the inside (so both of them go together with each other.)
Screenshot 10: Made some iron armor so I can protect myself from mobs and such...
More screenshots and Part 2 coming! (yes, I decided that it would be my new style of making parts :P)

--== Part 2: Gone Minin' ==--
Screenshot 11: My strip-mine system. It goes on three sides. And as usual, the chest for storing all the loot I'd get from the mining trip (as well as the cobblestone I may need and the polished forms of andesite, diorite and granite.)
Screenshot 12: Woot, my first diamond vein...Didn't take me too long to find it I believe I got 6 diamonds from that vein.
Screenshot 13: 47 minutes later of strip-mining later in the same direction, with a little frustration of having no diamonds after having 6+ stone picks broken...I found a cave. You can see that zombie that I killed of course.
Screenshot 14: What the heck! I decided to strip-mine in another direction, and then another diamond vein had to show up as I was mining some iron...There's also some gold as well.
Screenshot 15: Found a lava lake. I also heard some spiders, and little did I know what was I gonna find...

More and more screenshots....
Screenshot 16: Another diamond vein? What? Can I stop being lucky for a moment right there? (I only got 4 diamonds from that vein. I don't know why but I rarely ever find veins of 8 diamonds now... Anyways, patience is key when it comes to find diamonds.)
Screenshot 17: I dug where I heard the spiders and...I found an abandoned mineshaft! Nice! (You can see a cave spider nest on the left of the screen. [Well, you can barely see the cobwebs...]) I decided not to raid the mineshaft that early 'cause I was afraid to die, even though I was in the mushroom fields biome... I know that monster spawners are still functional in mushroom islands because of the light level, I said I was afraid to die 'cause the mineshaft would cross over other biomes and mobs would spawn.)
Anyways, wish me luck! I'm re-creating the poll I deleted earlier, and tomorrow I may post the world seed. By the way, how good do you think I'm doing this time? Reply down below

UPDATE:
I created a new poll in which I'm asking you if you guys want the world seed! (if you like jungles and mushroom islands then it's for you!). It might last from a few days to a week, so be sure to consider taking a look in it!
More (probably late) screenshots coming later!

Still got some screenshots to show you guys!
Screenshot 18: I mined the opposite way of where did I mine earlier, and found a lava lake.
Screenshot 19: Wow, that's huge for a cave...There's also a nearby ravine.
Screenshot 20: The said ravine, with another spider nest in the background (the wooden planks are part of the mineshaft I found earlier, I guess.) I didn't raid it nor did I explore the ravine because I knew the (pesky) cave spiders would SO eat me to death
Screenshot 21: I was supposed to show you that screenshot before the previous one. Oh well...I found another vein of diamonds (4 diamonds, just my luck). I have 19 diamonds in total.
Screenshot 22: After getting tired of the underground shadows, I backed up to the surface. Successful for a first mining trip
More in the next post! By the way, how well do you guys think I'm doing this time?

--== Part 3: Backing Up ==--
Screenshot 23: Back in the safety of my sweet home!
Screenshot 24: Going back down to the strip-mine system, this time to bring back all the loot I've gotten! (Also destroyed the chest, I'm gonna replace another one later.)
Screenshot 25: I put down these furnaces (minus the one I already had) to smelt some of my cobblestone, you'll find out why!
Screenshot 26: Mooshrooms! I'll go milk one with my buckets!
Screenshot 27: I got 5 milk buckets from that (you'll understand why I'll bring milk later).

Sorry I'm a little late...Anyways, incoming screenshots right now!
Screenshot 28: Time to dig out a basement of this! I'll be using this as a storage area, an enchanting and brewing outpost and I'll also put a Nether portal in here so I can access it safely, inside my house! (However, I'll go to the Nether later on. 19 diamonds isn't enough for me :/ I prefer economising them by keeping them stashed in a chest until I have a decent amount, then I make a pickaxe for mining a LOT of obsidian to make an enchantment table, a Nether portal of course, and the rest for Ender chests maybe?)
Screenshot 29: The finished product! I left this hole to make the "Nether & End" area (enchantment table, brewing stand and Nether portal!). For the moment being I only have 4 chests: one for storing my ores, one for food & farming stuff, one for raw resources and the last one for blocks. All the basement is made of stone bricks. Also you might be asking: Why does he have that many arrows on his offhand? Well, when I started the play session I was killing chicken and I got 13 feathers out of them. Then I had enough flint to make the arrows All I may need is a bow (I'll craft one later or get an enchanted one from fishing.)
Screenshot 30: The "ores" chest. Some ores (like redstone) are crafted into blocks to free up some inventory space. (I may need to do something with all that redstone...I mostly mine it for the XP 90% of the time, so I guess I'll have to do something with it...Maybe an automated-harvesting melon and pumpkin farm when I get melon & pumpkin seeds from the mineshaft? Please suggest me something to do and help me with that. I'm "noob-ish" when it comes to redstone stuff :/)
Screenshot 31: "Raw resources" chest. I'll remove the doors 'cause I had no idea where to put them.
Screenshot 32: "Food and farming" chest. I'll bring the milk with me 'cause I need it for later.
No need of a screenshot for the "blocks" chest. Just imagine cobblestone and polished andesite, diorite and granite.
Guess I'll go back mining, in the hopes of finding more diamonds and raiding that mineshaft! (Holy crap, Allyourbasesaregone isn't gonna be happy about this :/)
Have a nice day everyone! Let me know what you think! I'll tell if I'm dead or alive later on (I really don't wanna miserably die like the 1st attempt...)
See you later with more screenshots!

UPDATE #2 (Wow, I'm surprised nobody replied :/ Oh well): I'm still alive!
Alright, before the plenty of screenshots I'll show you, I'll summarise all what I've done while playing on that world (I've been busy playing on it so that's why I'm late): I decided to go mining once again, but I didn't raid the mineshaft (because I realised that I would get lost without the map and banner thing, which I thought about its use to guide myself back and to also find where I put my storage chests so I get all my loot back, where I find dungeons to make XP farms, etc. In case you didn't know this is a new feature added in 1.13). Being the impatient player that I am (I wanted to find diamonds so fast :P) I got quickly bored of the mining trip so I decided to take out my boat and my compass and go explore other lands! I wonder if I'll make it back alive though...Also I got 34 XP levels! (almost 35 XP levels) So my score should be better than my first two attempts.
Anyways, screenshot time! And incoming Part 4!
Screenshot 33: I decided to go back mining. This will be the only diamond vein (6 diamonds I believe) that I get from the mining trip. As mentioned earlier, I got bored of it (rarely happens to me...) so I went back up later.
Screenshot 34: Found this lone water lake as I mined. Looked underwater to see if any diamonds have generated :P...no diamonds insight.
Screenshot 35: Time to use up some of my diamonds! Don't scream: WHY did you use up these diamonds to make a hoe? That's a waste of diamonds! You should make something else with them! Remember, in my challenge list I say: "Obtain all advancements + (How Did We Get Here?) challenge". And remember that breaking a diamond hoe is an advancement as well (Serious Dedication). (Fun fact: Later on, I got back my 2 wasted diamonds You'll find why). Of course, I'm gonna have to start a farm soon, since I made this hoe.
Screenshoot 36: Time to go sail the shores, in the hopes of finding more lands! Fun fact: I saw my first dolphin before mounting on my boat I was trying to build a farm on the ocean but I left it for later, and as I was digging back the dirt I was using to build this farm (so I could till it later into farmland) the dolphin started playing with some of it (dropped items for sure.) Once I make a fishing rod and feed another dolphin raw cod, I can find a shipwreck!
Screenshot 37: Land ahead! It was a plains biome with some forests nearby, as well as a desert! (I also recall seeing a swamp biome because there were vines on an oak tree I saw, but I might never know, it could be a jungle If it's really a swampland, I can find slimes and get lots of slimeballs so I can make sticky pistons for my auto-harvesting melon and pumpkin, lead for animals, etc.)
More screenshots next post! PLEASE LET ME KNOW: how good am I doing? NOBODY had replied and I feel so alone I just want to share my HC experiences with you...Oh, by the way, I haven't completed any challenges yet XD It might take a lot of time though.

EVEN more screenshots...This is ENDLESS isn't it? XD
--== Part 4: Exploring Farther Lands ==-- (Not a reference to the Far Lands)
Screenshot 38: I grabbed some flowers (the ones in my offhand and the others in my inventory), not because I'm stupid, but for decoration purposes. Only the plains biome (and the forest as well) can provide me with them. I also grabbed some cacti from the desert and deadbushes as well for decorating my island.
Screenshot 39: Oh no, it's night time...I found refuge in that cave, waiting until daytime. Fortunately, no mobs spawned in there.
Screenshot 40: A desert temple! Might check it out! (NOTE: I didn't grab all of the loot in it because my inventory was full. I could've thrown away the flowers but I needed them (reason above). I also had to throw out my torches I'm gonna get the rest of the loot on a return trip.)
Screenshot 41: Oh my God! Is this even a dream? Yes, you can literally see an enchanted golden apple in that chest!!! As well as 2 diamonds to replace the ones I wasted for my hoe. While we're at it, I also grabbed some gunpowder, bones, iron ingots and string, as well as 2 enchanted books (Efficiency I and Fire Aspect II which would go well with a diamond sword :D). I also grabbed some diamond horse armor and a saddle, so I can tame a horse!
Screenshot 42: Once again, it's night time. This is where I stopped playing after I had enough. On daytime, I'll go tame a horse, and head to that swamp (?) and maybe find some slimes!
Have a nice day everyone! Oh, and what do you think of this now?

UPDATE #3: I'M STILL ALIVE GUYS. This is getting so epic
Anyways, I've been so much busy playing on the world. Right now I'm on my last mining trip before venturing into the Nether soon. I've fixed myself a goal which is getting 3+ diamond veins per side of my second strip-mine system. When I go back up to the surface, I'll start some farms and work on getting to the Nether! Oh, and I'm still not exploring that mineshaft...I'll wait until I get enchanted iron armor (Level 1 enchantments) which I'm basically going to use for the Nether. By the way, I've hit XP level 40! Really great for level-30 enchantments which I'll use for my future diamond armor! Fun fact: I didn't use any mob farms nor did I make any...If I don't find any dungeons, I'll have to make a mob farm based on natural monster spawning, except that these STUPID spiders are slowing up the whole thing >:(
Sorry guys, the screenshots above are the only screenshots for today. Hopefully you still like this series I promise, you're getting some interesting screenshots tomorrow. In the meanwhile, can you give me some advice/suggestions/challenges? That will motivate me

Thanks! Gonna be so busy playing! Hopefully I’ll be able to go to the Nether today after I achieve my fixed goal in my mining trip! (I feel like this is gonna be the death of me XD) Screenshots might come very late.

Okay guys...SORRY FOR BEING SO LATE. *guess what's the reason*
I didn't have any time to upload screenshots. But at least I can summarise all what I've done today.
I decided to go on a last (?) mining trip to find diamonds before going to the Nether. After ending this mining trip, I got 55 diamonds in total (God, I could've completed the 64+ diamonds challenge if only I didn't waste them...) I used them up for a pickaxe, a sword, a jukebox (I'll use it when I get music discs) and an enchantment table. Then, I enchanted all of my iron armor as well as my iron sword (there go 12 levels :/) (fun fact: I didn't use it at ALL from the first time I made it! Even my very first stone sword is still not broken :/) and decided that I should go farming and fishing as well. I made an oceanside wheat farm (I will also have 2 floating rows, one for carrots, potatoes and beetroots, and the other one for melons and pumpkins. I also gave myself the challenge of ONLY getting a carrot and a potato from zombies. Getting them from villages is way TOO easy...) I also made a cacti farm and a Mooshroom farm. (However, I may need help with my cacti farm because they sometimes pop off only to land on the farm building, instead of going to the flowing water right into the collection point. It may be hard for you to understand that but when I'll upload screenshots tomorrow it will become easier.) I also built 2 fishing outposts as well (they can also serve as harbors for getting in/out with my boats.)
I PROMISE you guys, you're getting to watch screenshots tomorrow and I swear on this one [really sorry about today :(] Tomorrow I'll maybe go raid that mineshaft just a little bit (gonna take a sneak peek. I was going to raid it after I would go to the Nether but I changed my mind :/)
See you later guys and have a nice day everyone! Please reply and let me know what you think!

Welcome back fellows!
Sounds like screens are getting shot today. (pun intended LOL)
Anyways, Part 5 is also coming as well. Enjoy (Man, I really need to clear up some of the "screenshots" directory in the ".minecraft" folder... I took too many of them and there are some that I don't need XD)
--== Part 5: Back Home ==--
Screenshot 43: Back in the safety of my mushroom island! [I bet 90% of the people who were following this series thought I wouldn't be able to make it back alive, but here you go ;)]
Screenshot 44: With most of the sugar cane I have gathered, I made some paper to make a map. (I also added some more paper to make it larger, but I would have to walk off a long distance so all of its contents appear. In this map, the jungle doesn't appear.)
Screenshot 45: My "ores" chest. I also decided that I should put in tools as well (except for the hoe which goes in my "farming & food" chest). I had no idea where to put my enchanted books which I gathered from the desert temple so I decided to temporarily put them in here (maybe I'll make an "enchantment" chest?)
Screenshot 46: These Mooshrooms won't last much longer...(As we speak, I made a Mooshroom farm so that's not too much of a deal).
Screenshot 47: A ravine I found on that mining trip. That ravine happened to be in a Snowy Tundra/Ice Plains biome (I was 1 km away from spawn LOL. I gave myself the hidden challenge of making a strip-mine tunnel which goes for 1000 blocks, so there I go :P) Besides, it was connected to another jungle. That reminds of the irrealism of the old world generator from 1.2 to 1.6, where you could see snowy biomes next to hot biomes, example: a Taiga biome (back then, Taigas were snowy) next to a desert. And now, I find this IRREALISM in my world? Come on! There should've been a hot biome instead (a Badlands/Mesa biome would have been nice though, although medium/cold biomes like Plains or Extreme Hills/Mountains would have been okay.) This wouldn't be much of a deal since I can occasionally find igloos (and praying God that it would have a basement as well :P) Fun fact: after that ravine I continued strip-mining a little bit and found a vein of 8 diamonds! (Is it just me or I rarely ever find veins of 8 diamonds now? Apparently, the most common max amount of diamonds I can get from a single vein is 6 diamonds. Did they screw something up with the new world generator?)
Anyways, screenshots coming in next post. And the god-damned explanation of screenshot 47 is done! (it was too tiring for you to read all that, wasn't it?)

Gotta upload MORE SCREENSHOTS!
Screenshot 48: I didn't take this screenshot for nothing. In fact, this hole is from the beginning of my world. This is where I mined my very first stone and found my very first iron. I gotta mark it with a sign
Screenshot 49: Look CLOSELY in my chest. Yes, I had 55 diamonds. Yes, this amount of diamonds is legit. (I didn't use a Fortune pickaxe. Besides, I wasn't even close to having a Fortune enchantment, and not even close to having a Level-30 setup for the enchantment table.) Yes, I could've COMPLETED the goddamned 64+ diamonds challenge if only I didn't WASTE them. (There's also so MUCH redstone in this chest. I compact it (as well as other resources like coal, iron, lapis-lazuli...) into blocks to free up space on my inventory. Gotta do something with that redstone. However, most of this coal is for villager trading purposes (once I get villagers, at least.)
Screenshot 50: My enchanted iron armor, as well as my enchanted iron sword (not broken at all LOL, 'cause I didn't use it.) The helmet is enchanted with Projectile Protection I, the chestplate with Protection I, the leggings with Fire Protection I and Unbreaking I (that could help a little bit in the Nether, against Blazes and Ghasts) and the boots with Unbreaking II :/ The iron sword is enchanted with Sharpness I.
So here ends Part 4 and here begins Part 5! More in the next post!
Just figured out that when I'd turn 8 years old, the 23th of November 2011, my parents could have offered me Minecraft as a birthday gift. Sigh...
Fun but frustrating platformer. Saves me of boredom when I don't feel like playing Minecraft. Knowledge of 8-bit old-school videogames is optional tho'.

It's SCREENSHOT UPLOADING time!!! And Part 5 as well (Sorry about using caps, but I tend to make this a bit funny as well.)
--== Part 5: Gone Fishin', Gone Farmin' ==--
Screenshot 51: My oceanside wheat farm. Because you cannot till mycelium into farmland, I had to dig it and place it back as normal dirt so I could till it. This farm started with only 2 seeds I got in the beginning of my world, as well as the 26 bones I gathered from the said temple which I turned all into bone meal, so I could spread all of that wheat. Unfortunately, my farm is far from being finished But at least I got a decent amount of wheat, so I could make my Mooshroom farm. This will make up for a good source of food As mentioned earlier, I will also add 2 floating rows above the wheat row (one for carrots, potatoes and beetroots, the second one for melons and pumpkins.) For the melons and pumpkins, I can make an auto-harvesting system (but I will have to do a return trip to that swampland biome I found earlier so I can kill some slimes and make sticky pistons.) However I don't know how to do auto-harvesting systems for the rest of the crops. If someone can help me with that (I want a written explanation and not a video because I get quickly bored LOL) I promise that (s)he will have my praise
PS: You may be wondering why the farm is big (21x21). Well, because of the goddamned diamond hoe. I'm going for all advancements and Serious Dedication is a real challenge (the one where you have to break a diamond hoe.)
Screenshot 52: My cacti farm. Once the cacti gets to the second stage of growth (another cacti block appears), the stone blocks above will make them pop off and go to the collection point between two parts with flowing water. The collection points ends as hoppers connected to 2 large chests, where I can retrieve the cacti. However, I have a problem. Sometimes I find cacti popping off onto the farm building instead of going to the collection point. I thought about the use of cobblestone walls but I think the cacti will pop off onto it whatever. So, can someone please help me with that too?
Screenshot 53: My Mooshroom farm right besides my cacti farm. Looks like they gave birth to another one! (I will let 2 mooshrooms free to shear them so they turn into cows, and make a good old cow farm. And why? Remember, I'm going for all advancements. There is an advancement that tells you to breed ALL the animals (cows and mooshrooms don't count together, do they?) So, there you go.
Screenshot 54: A gravelly path to my house. Unfortunately my mineshafts have ruined it.
Screenshot 55: My first fishing outpost/harbor. I also had to swim down to place supports out of oak logs. If you have any suggestions on how to spruce it up, you're welcome. (No need of a screenshot for the second fishing outpost, it is exactly the same, except that I forgot to place the oak log supports.)
That's it for now. By today, I SHOULD be able to venture into the Nether. (But I'll go raid that mineshaft just a little unless I get tempted by the exploration.)
I'll profit of this to expose you an annoying problem: LAG SPIKES. Although I have an old computer (2007-2008), I can run Minecraft at 60fps very fine. I don't now if you have encountered this problem already, so there you go.
The first time I updated Minecraft into 1.13, everything was fine. But one day, I JUST had to experience these lag spikes. When I accomplish a task I haven't accomplished before (example: kill x or y mob, chop down a tree, mine x or y block...) I have a lag spike. But a few times later, the lag goes away (once it "gets used" to that task, if you can say so.) This forces me to create a world in Creative mode and accomplish all these tasks until I have no LAG at all And as if that wasn't enough, I experienced them back in 1.12.2. So, ANY HELP PLEASE? Do I have to live with these stupid lag spikes or is there a solution? Or is it just a bug? Here are my specs:
HP Pavilion dv6000-dv6700 Notebook PC (Please, no bandwagon about HP's cooling problems. I already know that and it's REAL annoying. I am already planning to buy a new laptop...)
Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 @ 2.00 GHz x2 (I know that's LOWER than the minimum system requirements according to Mojang, but I can run the game just fine at 60 fps.)
4GB RAM DDR2
Intel 965GM (graphics card).
PS: Can I stop being ALONE in this thread? I mean, only someone was kind enough to reply to this thread and I have 300+ views, but come on...

It's nice to see, that you still want to get it working, even though you have had your shenanigans with it. I personally don't really have that much patience to get Hardcore world working xD
But indeed, keep up good work!
