What's the ID for a skeleton monster spawner? I know it's 52:x but I don't know what number the x is.

You can't change what it spawns without a mod and in smp you'd have to use a bukkit plug-in because client mods are typically frowned upon.

i think the most easy way to get a skeleton mob spawner is to do /give [your name] 52 and then place the pig mob spawner and then type /spawner skeleton or another mobname

That's false information. There's no /spawner command in vanilla.

If you have Bukkit on an SMP server, get the plugin called Essentials. It has a ton of commands and one of them allows you to put your cursor on the mob spawner and type /spawner mobname. So in you case, /spawner skeleton. You need Bukkit and Essentials though.

People reviving old threads are getting annoying. The question already been answered by now and I don't think that the person that asked the question comes here anymore.

So please newcomers, when you see an old thread, DON'T reply to it! It gets annoying and jamming up the newer threads cause of the old ones kept on being brought up again!

One question though, is there really no ID for it? How does it work then in game? The ID of a mobspawner is 52 and then you have to add something after that to get a certain type of mob spawner.
