Hey guys ,
So i have a big house , farms and buildings , i put fences all around so i can protect my buildings a bit ,
But i was thinking about getting some golems but will they protect me or the area inside the fence .
And can they escape outside the fences ?!
spider proof wall ?? i never heard about it but ill look for it online ,,,
but i have stone fence wall 3 blocks high .. i only found a spider once inside and the area was very well lightened
i had no idea how he came inside , so can spiders climb that wall ?!
Listen I think you should put golems outside the fencing just so that you can kill any incoming creepers or stuff.
Then collect up the dropped items and then put an iron golem inside your fence for extra protection against spiders
If he put up spider-proof walls, he wouldn't need to waste his iron on another golem.
Iron Golems would be good to have right outside your house entrance so you don't get jumped upon exiting the house. One other thing you could do is trap a snowman inside a glass case (Either panes or cubes will work) right next to the exit of your house. The reason is because he will actually look at hostile mobs through walls so if you notice that he's focusing on something rather than looking around, you know there's something outside. I'm not sure if they fixed this though.
For defence, PUT A 10 BLOCK WIDE RING OF LAVA AND BURNING NETHERACK AROUND YOUR BASE!!! (Joke)
Just make a big wall with a lip facing outwards at the top. You can turn it into some medieval parapet style wall to make it look cooler.
Golems can be useful, but once my snow golem either opened a fence gate or jumped a fence, or he was loaded on the wrong block. The only other option is that he jumped on a chicken and escaped (evil chickens...)
They cannot escape, unless they glitch out. They will attack hostile mobs, not just protect you, yet it gives the same effect. So Iron golems are good to have around, and I leash them to fences, and then I am rarely attacked! It is awesome.
