Hey, I just died, and I really can't right now, is there any way whatsoever to teleport back to my death point? Vanilla or Modded would help, I quit to title screen on the death screen by the way.
You would have to know the coordinates to teleport to for anything to do you any good. If you had the coordinates you could use a command block or install single player commands.
A fly mod like Zombe's will allow you to edit the configure file (which you have to do to enable it anyway) and give yourself 10x sprint speed when flying.
Your easiest solution is probably to open your world in MCEdit and just move your respawn point to where you died. Save your change and close MCEdit open minecraft and click respawn, poof your there!
You would have to find it from memory, or at least guess close.
It only shows chunks that have been generated by your travels so it isn't a map of the whole world, just the places you've been within 8-10 chunks of (depending on your render distance setting).

Never mind! I found out how! Thank you so much! You have saved many villager's lives XD
Edit:
I found out that if you die and quit directly to title screen, on the "You Died" screen, when you load the level into MCEdit, it will show you at your death point!
I just came back to edit my last post, because if you haven't respawned yet MCEdit should open with you exactly where you died at, I wasn't thinking of that, sorry.
Personally, sometimes I feel like having the death point, and sometimes I don't. I guess it depends on how hard I want to make things for myself on a given day.

Here's an idea: Stop crying about it. You played the game. You accepted this risk.
Or just, god forbid, use a bed.
This thread was made for jasonrogue to get help. The problem was already solved, next time you should help rather than doing the opposite.
