This will be my first post on the Minecraft forum, I'm frankly new to this community. Ok, to go back to the original topic, I currently have a survival world started 4 days ago, and I need a building idea. The current building I have right now are:
-Sheep farm (I have a lot of sheep near my spawn point)
-Three-floored farm (Wheat, Potato, Carrot)
-Nether wart farm
-A random room filled with computer (self-made) and crafting bench
-A lab sorta-thing (includes brewing stand, Nether portal, furnaces etc.)
If any of you guys in the community can suggest me some building ideas, that will be helpful. Thanks!
You'll probably need a cow farm for beef and leather, a chicken farm for chicken and feathers, a sugar cane farm for sugar and paper, maybe an XP grinder to make enchanting easier (though you'd need to find a stronghold with a zombie/skeleton/spider spawner and that could be a long trip away if your base isn't anywhere near one), and perhaps a way down to the mines so that you can get to diamonds, gold, iron, lapis, coal, and redstone quickly. I hope that this helps and Welcome to Minecraft Forums!
No, I meant Nook. A notebook for jotting down ideas when you're doing something else is a fine idea, but the Nook is a place where you can just hang out and properly dig into the details of the random idea you thought up. Minecraft is a game where you do a lot of grinding/waiting, while you can usually just go find something else to do for a while sometimes you just don't want to go do something else for a while. A spot to just hang out in that doesn't depress you or otherwise make you want to go somewhere else or find something to do other than play Minecraft is simply a nice touch to building that can also have a slightly-functional purpose (ie, properly storing all the many ideas you come up with). It's a great alternative to just watching videos while you AFK-grind.
I have a similar build called "Project: Closet" (I'm big on puns, hehe) that's just a large warehouse. It has a tiny office that has a chest for spare books, a chest for reference material (mostly just images being used or informative websites explaining this or that), and a chest for copies of the finished projects (I incorporate the books in some fashion into the build, and sometimes those are really far away). The rest of the warehouse is just row upon row of chests dedicated to ongoing projects that need more material.
You should try building some one-player minigames, or minigames for several players if you can get friends on your world. Maybe you could also make a mob arena, where you have a mob spawner from a dungeon or mobs from a farm that you fight. Stuff like that so that you can still have fun with them after your done building them.
4:putt putt golf course
6:bank with a secret underground vault
10:town hall with a secret underground bunker that is explosion proof
20:a HUGE tree
23: TNT cannon
25: underwater house
27:a working elevator
35:wall over your city
36:a working double door
38:a abandoned house with cobwebs in it
39:a minecart railroad around your village
43:a piston stairway
44: lava/fire trap
45: huge tnt hole
46:a war base
47: giant mushroom house
48:fort with snow golems as soldiers.
50: a lake
1. a dock/warf
4.safe houses (like a panic room, but out in the open for a place to retreat to)
5.a tnt connon
6.a machine gun
7.a flag (for a kingdom/fort/castle)
red stone circuit
cobble stone generator
mine out a mountain
A creeper made of wool filled with tnt
-An everything farm (Is what I call them)
A lookout tower for mobs by your house
A man made river allowing easy boat travel
A sawmill built in the middle of a forest
A massive wool factory housing every color of dyed sheep, useful for making statues
A church to place your enchanting table
Underground minecart subway stations
An incredibly large desert pyramid A tree farm
An underground base
Build an art gallery?
Wolf kennels or something...
A mine> You may already have one but try and make an epic one with loads of tracks and minecarts going everywhere. (Add a room with loads of furnaces and a storage room)
Mob spawner traps (in dungeons)
Huge swimming pool
A rollercoaster, but with boats and water
Archery range with moving minecarts (maybe with mobs in them) for moving target practice
A giant room with around 3-4 layers of dirt so you can test and build redstone contraptions
Add random towers into your world...I used to make outposts with random equipment in them just in case of emergeny.
Build a maze, or a parkour area for fun
Random and secret ways to enter your base
Make a mass potion producing place...minecarts leading to it from your storage room/mob traps/xp grinders(like the blaze one you mentioned, so you can get loads of blaze rods)
Build a floating base in the sky...
A vault with a combination lock
Instead of using torches in your base use lava + glass (it actually looks awesome)
And something really hard to do...a mob trap but it generates music disks (you can find tutorials on youtube)
And you can make seperate tunnels from your mob trap that can open and close so creepers and skeletons can go through into the music disk generator. (Seeing as you've done mostly everything you might as well do something challenging)
I assume you already have a wheat, pumpkin, sugarcane and melon farms. Have you made cactus and nether wart farms?
Build another base...maybe with a huge bridge linking them
An indoor nature room thing...It would have animals and trees and waterfalls...and a lake.
An arena where you can fight loads of mobs...(build a tunnel from your mob grinder so they get carried into the arena)
Snowball farm...where you make snow golems and hit them with a shovel to generate loads (tutorial on youtube)
Trap a ghast in a room for dodgeball
A water/lava fountain
