I know ocelots never spawn on peaceful, but as I was exploring my world today I spotted a baby ocelot on peaceful difficulty and was pretty baffled.
Do baby ocelots have different spawning than adults? I believe that adults are classified as hostile mods and therefore don't spawn, so are babies different? I don't think you can tame them until they grow up.
(I also assume this isn't a change implemented in the 1.6.1 update, but of course correct me if I'm wrong.)
Why on earth would an ocelot count as a hostile mob? They can't attack the player in any way and do no damage, they only kill chickens. So yeah, they do spawn on peaceful.
No, they don't spawn on peaceful. No clue why they're a 'hostile mod'. From the wiki: "Ocelots will never spawn in peaceful difficulty; to find them the player must be playing on easy difficulty or higher."
My question is why I saw a baby on peaceful, haven't seen anything like that before
