I could use a bit of help. What am I doing wrong? I tame them & attempt to feed them wheat but can't get them to breed.
I took a quick video but with out any audio telling what I'm doing on may be hard. I start off with two tamed horses well apart from the rest. As nothing happens it's pretty much impossible to tell but I'm smashing the right mouse button nonstop once I'm riding them. The dark horse with white legs in the pen is still wild, so I tame it & attempt to feed it wheat as well. No luck there either. Going to have to excuse my wandering around for a quick moment wondering where the other wild horse I had tethered up ran off too.
Tried wheat bales too just to be sure but that didn't work either, guess I'll go try a couple golden apple's.
link to pre-release is on home page, been out a few days. Wiki says feed a tamed horse wheat or a golden apple while riding it but it's not working for me.
The only way I've seen this done was in the snapshot. You make sure nothing is equipped on the horse then you ride them. When you are holding the wheat, look straight down at the horse's back and right click. That makes the hearts. Get off that one and get on the other one and do the same thing. If that doesn't work than maybe the pre-release is not the full version and you can't breed them yet? I'm not sure.
Yea, tame the horse, ride the horse, feed the horse wheat or a golden apple. Except that's not doing anything. Guess I'll have to hope it's a glitch in the pre-release or just flat out not implemented yet.
Take any armor off the horses as they cannot be breed with armor on. Make sure you are riding them when attempting to breed. Use wheat.

I'm having this same problem. Riding the horse, no armour, and I can't get them into love mode with wheat. However, in the meantime you can use golden apples.
