I played Classic (and soon survival as well) for the first time in 2010, a few months before Alpha 1.2 the first halloween update. Played on a borrowed account until I got my own account somewhere around Beta 1.8. Been playing more or less regularly since then.
I first played Minecraft around December 2011, but didn't get the PC version until October 2012. I don't remember much from these times, I was mainly survival and have a lot of survival memories. I barely remember my first server, it was a community prison, the first one ever. I think at this time it was version 1.3, but I can't remember.
I joined in mid 2011 when Beta 1.6.6 was the latest Minecraft version. Was the best and most fun time i had with the game until the Adventure Update broke everything, but thank goodness they fixed a lot since then.
I got my copy of Minecraft and joined officially on Valentine's Day 2012. Before that was unofficial "cracked" Minecraft. That means when I got it officially, it was during the era of 1.1-1.2, just after the full release came out.
I think it was about 2014 ish? I was a late bloomer! Before that i seen advertisements/friends playing..but i never felt it was a game for me until a friend showed me a let's play! Bought an account instantly.
