I was reading the best places that people have spawned in which you can go to here. Then I stared playing Minecraft and I spawned in a lava pit and then I wondered what are the worst places you ever spawned in.
The most obvious would be inside a block. Especially the first time it happaned, and I died not knowing what to do. n__n;
But less obvious was when I turned large biomes on for the first time, and I spawned in a HUGE laggy jungle. I even turned creative mode on temporarily after a few Minecraft days to fly up and see how far it was, and there was literally no way out. xD I flew for a few more Minecraft days and just simply gave up after that.
Then right after that I tried again with a new save, just to have the exact same problem but in a desert. You know, with no trees what-so-ever in sight.
Thankfully the biomes in large biomes isn't usually THAT large. Just a stroke of bad luck on my part.
Edit: Oh right, and then there were all the times I've spawned in a tiny island without any trees. Occasionally I'd try to swim out and find land, but that rarely worked.
Spawned on a 'floating island' with NO WAY DOWN. No gravel, sand, etc. Also it was tiny and had nothing but about 10 pieces of grass and about 20 blocks of stone. Found out that it was about 30 meters high, just tried to jump off, and I died. Clicked 'respawn'.... and I'm back
to that island again.
i spawned in a pit full of spiders zombies enderman skelitons and zombie pig men
That is literally impossible as the only way a zombie pig man can be in the overworld is two ways.
1. It spawned through a nether portal (which has to be made or the rarest thing of all, a natural occurring one.)
2. A pig is zapped by lightning
But since you jUST spawned the odds of there being a group of pigs in one spot and immediately getting zapped by lightning is highly improbable, and not to mention the fact that you just spawned and lightning going on.

Worst spawn was inside a block - I suffocated to death. This was while I was branch mining, way back in the Alpha days (sometime around 1.26).
Some of my Mystcraft random Age (dimension) spawns have been pretty bad. Two of those were Void Ages, with nothing around but the 5x5 platform on which you land when you arrive in that Age. I never go anywhere in a Mystcraft Age without a Linking Book to get me back home again. Another Age I started taking damage in as soon as I arrived. I'm not sure what went wrong there, but I quickly left that Age.
Spawned high in the air and died of fall damage.
