I live in forest/plains biomes. Recently I started a world where I have an underground house in the taiga. I don't like jungles because with all the leaves on the ground and vines hanging down, it's very hard to see where mobs are coming from. However I do like to live next to a jungle for the free wood.
I built my outpost in the tundra biome on the ice right before the unfrozen water starts. Underneath my base, I found a huge cave system that was so extensive I went ahead and built another base area down there. Right now, I'm trying to exhaust my incrediblely large resource of cobblestone by constructing a huge castle occupying most of the biome; at this point in time the walls are enclosed and five blocks high, :).
I usually live in the regular forest biome. I do prefer the winter/forest biome sometimes. I will go out of my way to avoid the swamp biome. I HATE vines.

Vanilla: World 1: NPC village on a plainsy (somewhat hill-ish) place. Not a fan since some of the houses (actually most of them) have glitched up entrances about two blocks above the walkway. It just.. meh. I take residence in my own house close to the village.. it makes the game feel less lonely watching the squidwards. World 2: Jungle, for testing out cats when I heard of them. Currently HATE it because cats are annoying and they're the ONLY wildlife you ever see. I prefer living where the wildlife is more varied.. and frequent. House is a bunker built into a hill.
Minecraft Comes Alive + Huge-@$$ Villages + Tornado/Weather mod: The only world I have there: House for the waifu and kids built into a hill on the edge of a taiga biome. House is.. hacked. Obsidian so the wife and kids can be safe when a tornado hits. I still hate the house, though. Too small since I want to "upgrade it" through legit ways. (Screenie) from a backup before a tornado ravaged the area.
Realism (Unbelievable shaders [Ultra] + Tornado/Weather mod): Only World:Up on a hill next to a forest. No fancy-shmancy tools like SPC or TMI. Just awesome graphics and the weather mod. I hate my house, but I love the location. May do some flattening of the hill and build a new first floor below my house. (Screenie 1) (Screenie 2)
I'm using the mods NBXlite and OldDays to disable biomes and pretty much all the other updates that have been implemented since beta, so I don't live in any biome.
I did this, too! But always want to flatten the top, which made some leaves decay. :/
Eventually I just got tired of jungles because all I could find were fracking cats!
I step on to the desert and hear no rain but when i look at the other side I see raindrops falling. Even though its not raining in the desert, the sky is still dark.
A swamp! I always live there will anyone agree thats sad
No. The swamps like the best place cause it has so many lily pads for you to collect
