I have finally begun my video series of playing this series. Check it out at my channel or, for those of you who just want a taste of what's to come, right here:
Awesome challenge! Will be doing a 2-player lets play on this challenge ( If my YouTube partner agrees ) once I get back from vacation! Also, how long did it take you to think this awesome challenge?
Idea! There could be something called a architects Hut or something that restricts you from 2 story and + buildings.
Would also allow you to make walls around village, But must be made of stone brick, must be connected to guard towers and a guard tower must at every corner. The wall would have a minimum of 2 thick and max of 4. The architects huts design is up to,you. Also extensions must be made to architects hut in order to make thicker.

Sweet idea. I'll give it some thought.
And it took maybe a week, in full, if you include the ideas I added that were suggestions from other people as well as later ideas I added. Other than that, I probably made the entire post in a total of 3-4 hours?
ok now 1.3 is there so i start try this also i got some idea : why not in make it include mod (if we want) for example it should say "if the player install industrialcraft he have more kind of building" also farm should be made only of log , wool and stair(any) slab(any) and fence (wood only) also to be realistic in real life if it was made out of block farm is 100x200 with the guy that get water and give it to the plant , so when having a farm the player should go to a water lake and use a bucket to get water to put in the farmer chest , when 1 day pass the player should found a way to remove the water (for example , trying to place water on water , so then it will remove it , infinite water source don't count as a water source so it's like "non existing" the player dont need to wet he's wheat when it's raining

The water thing is a little too complex. And I make it a thing not to list any changes to the challenge to make way for certain mods. For example, I could add a ton of building, like windmills, pottery huts, etc, for Better Than Wolves. But because there are just too many mods out there to cover, I would probably have to try them all, find out what things do, figure out nice buildings to put them in...I just don't have the time. Anyone who wants to use mods can make up their own tasks and building requirements for the mod itself, on top of this challenge.

Actually some kind of tower isn't a bad idea for enchantments. I think I'll stick to the enchanting room being inside the church for now.
do you continue or not ? the challenge did you stop it , dude ?
What are you on about? If you mean my series, I only just released the first episode at like 11pm on the 1st of August. Chillax. Weekends I have off filming, since I can't film until I'm home alone (which is during the week). I only like to film one or two sessions a week so I can have minimal editing. I will get back to the series next week, between monday and wednesday, hopefully getting what I film uploaded on thursday.
Hey there mate!
I really love the challenge you put up. Also I really really enjoyed your first episode, especially your first diary entry was so athmospheric...
I look out for new videos.
You just got yourselves a subscriber
Cheers!
Woohoo thanks. I'm actually surprised with how many people have taken a liking to my challenge and, especially, my new video series of the challenge. Yeah, I try to put my best acting into the diary entry reading at the end I'm usually a good actor, but I was a little weird about it during that first episode. I'll try and be a bit more dramatic. Lol.
Update Post: I am bringing out new episodes soon, so look out for them (I won't be posting each individual one here, so you will either have to stalk me on Twitter or subscribe to me on YouTube in order to find out when they're out). Also, I made a bit of a much-needed rewrite for the post, changing the title "Building Types", which seems like it wasn't well thought out and was confusing a lot of people (people were asking me if houses counted as a building type...this is not the case). The new name is now "Productive Buildings", which seems much more fit for it's job, since the buildings listed as a Productive Building are buildings which produce something. Saw Mills produce wood, blacksmiths produce tools and armour, etc. A much better name for that group of buildings, if you ask me.
I really love this challenge, but would it be ok if I did it with the BTW mod? It would add sort of a better settler feel to it so I'm just wondering if it would mess any part of the challenge up haha.

Actually, that's a good idea. Originally, I was gonna do the challenge using BTW, but after a while of playing BTW, I got bored of it and decided to revert back to vanilla for it. But yeah, BTW would work well with this medieval-feel to the challenge. Obviously, certain rules would need to be changed, but I don't think it isn't that hard to bend the rules yourself. Maybe even make a settler BTW challenge by yourself separate from this one.

Ok cool, I wish I could record it but sadly I have nothing to record with, but I'll tell you how it goes!
