I one time attempted a huge jump in one of my earliest worlds (I managed to get a lot of good gear) and it was a huge jump across a ravine which was literally impossible to get across. So, I attempted it and fell, but, I saw water, so, I tried to land in it; I then missed it completely and landed on the stone literally next to it and died. This had me so mad that I threw my mouse against my wall and it broke. It was about to break anyway so it didn't bother me.
Back in one of my first worlds (this was back before I had the PC Edition, in the early days of the Xbox 360 Edition) there was a cave by my mountain. For some reason I'd go there, go mining, and when I was done, I'd jump into lava and watch everything burning.
No, I don't know why. Yes, I'd done it a lot.

Watch out for the crabocalypse. Some say the day will never come. But it will.
Feel free to drop by for a chat whenever.
If you'd like to talk with me about other games, here are a few I play.
Team Fortress 2
Borderlands series (Borderlands 2 is my favorite game, ever. TPS combat is a lot of fun and makes up for the lower-quality story, in my opinion)
Elder Scrolls series
Warframe (IGN is something like That_One_Flesh_Atronach)
Pokémon series (HGSS forever)
Rocket League
Fallout series
Left 4 Dead 2 (Boomer files always corrupt though)
SUPERHOT (SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!)
Dead Rising series (Dead Rising 2 is one of my favorite games, and the 3rd was a lot of fun. 1st has poor survivor AI and the 4th is bad)
Just Cause series
Come to think of it, I mainly play fighting-based games.
I was mining a bit of redstone. I had a lot of valuables on me by that point. Anyway, behind the redstone was lava, and by the time it had registered in my mind that there was lava, I was already dead. I was not able to react quick enough.
I got Minecraft for the PC after my friend introduced me to it on the 360 back in 2011. I started my world and had it at a creative superflat world. Simple enough, yeah?
Well, I decided I wanted to play survival. I knew how to switch it to survival, but I had no clue how to switch it back to a normal world type. So I just played survival on superflat. Yeah, it wasn't as fun as I would have expected. I had to outright google how to switch the world to a normal world. I practically forgot how I even enabled superflat in the first place.
Well, I am horrible at Survival, so I tried the shiny, new /locate command. I was looking for a mansion, and well, I happened to find one that was 10,000+ blocks away from my base in every direction, X and Z. So, I wrote down the coordinates in chat of my base, so I could find my way home with my elytra after looting it, and, um. Well. When you close the game, everything you wrote in chat is erased. I made my way to the mansion, which seriously had no Evokers or those axe guys in it at all which was the whole point, because I like to be able to cheat out of death. I closed the game while I was still at the mansion, mind you, and when I came back, Im like, "Oh snap. I totally messed up. I'm so dead." Fortunately, I had a copy of that same world and the person in that world was at the base location. So I wrote down the coords, and tp'd back to my base. (It really takes a long time to fly 10k blocks even with an elytra.
Another stupid thing I did was in a SMP server. I was pretty much starting out on the game, and I was mining with some other guy, just because two people can find diamonds faster than one, and we were at I think Y level 11, the lava level. I accidentally broke the block under my friend in a one block tunnel, and they fell into lava. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO" He actually didn't have anything too good on, just iron, a pick, and maybe some armor, I can't remember.
Me and my buddy on the Xbox one edition built a cobblestone generator( I have no idea why). At the time i was switching all out valuables from one home to new one. i noticed something was wrong with out generator so i went to fix it. When i was fixing it i fell into the lava and out 47 diamonds 2 stacks or iron all out gold, everything we worked for since we started playing was gone. I didn't play for awhile lol.
I was playing Survival with friends made this huge prank on them with Creepers and TNT, I thought I backed up the world but when I did it and EVERYTHING was blown up and destroyed (Hilarious) I tried to get the backup and well turns out it didn't backup.....whoopsie.
Whilst currently refurbishing I wanted to design an adjustable enchanting table, using pressure plates (8) around the table to remove pairs of bookcases sequentially so I could adjust the enchantment range just by walking around the table - no levers or buttons etc. In terms of mechanics I got it to work perfectly, so I blocked it in in my world and finished it off - went to use it for the first time - discovered the pressure plates blocked the bottom rows of bookshelves (I knew things like torches would, just didn't think of plates doing it). So it was a complete waste, only the plate in the entry way worked as intended.
I had a real n00b moment last week. So I'm building in a mooshroom biome and I've built a darkroom spawner just offshore (where the biome changes to Ocean). I can't get the outside of the thing to look the way I want it to, so I've spent a lot of time working on it - there's cobblestone scaffolding all over the thing on a near-permanent basis.
I'm sure you can see where this is going.
So, on the shoreline just across from the spawner I've built an AFK fish farm. I've calculated the position of the farm to optimise the number of drops from the spawner - it relies on mob movement to work, so I need to AFK far enough away that mobs spawn, but close enough that they still move around. The fish farm was an afterthought really - I don't get much time in the day for resource gathering so I tend to go AFK overnight to make up for it.
So I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself at this point - I'm getting good drop rates from the spawner while still being able to AFK fish, and I've even worked up a basic squid farm underneath the spawner. So I stick a weight on my Use Item key and call it a night.
Cut to the next morning - "Venetrix2 drowned while trying to escape a skeleton".
Yeah. That scaffolding I mentioned? I forgot to light it properly, so come night time a skelly spawned up there. It must have tracked me round the shoreline and shot me into the water. Had all my gear on me, as well as a bunch of building blocks. Lost the lot - no idea how long I was sitting on the death screen for.
The moral of the story is, when you're building in a mooshroom biome it's really easy to get complacent about lighting your builds. Oh, and the fish farm is now behind a securely closed door!
I recently decided to try exploring the End with an Elytra and some rockets. I went out into the outer islands of the End, and found the edge of the accessible islands where I could barely see a large unexplored island on the horizon, a bit too far away to comfortably bridge over to. I made sure I had rockets in my hotbar, strapped on my elytra, and jumped off the edge of the island....and hit the jump button wrong or something, because the wings never deployed. Had about 2 seconds of blind panic before I started taking void damage and died.
Lesson learned: Pillar up in the center of the island and get flying while over solid ground, not over the void.

"I think I'm starting to like this `programming' thing. It's about four times as fun as shaving." -- Notch, June 12, 2011
On my short-lived epic survival world, I was trying to see how far I could walk in survival mode. I was planning on going to the edge of the world, however, there was a tall mountain that I wanted to find the height on, so I went on doing natural parkour. There was water underneath me, so I was hoping I would be safe. I went up a corner jump, failed, and landed right next to the water and died 10000 blocks from spawn. That serves as a reminder to never do natural parkour on steep cliffs. I haven't played it since. I'm off to continue the adventure.
Well, when I was a noob I didn't know how Minecraft worked (As with most noobs) so I had a lot of struggles in my early Minecraft days. I remember I would always dig a tunnel, that was 3 blocks under the surface, at night. Now, the funny thing about doing that was that I didn't know that you could craft things, so every single block I would mine with my hand, and these tunnels I made went pretty far. I'm a pretty impatient person so I have no idea why I didn't just quit the game when I had to break the first few blocks with my hand.
Several months ago I was mining and got ten diamonds, stacks of iron ore, and lots of gold, I predicted I would probably fall in lava and die... I'm sure you know what happened next.
The funny thing was that I wasn't even angry of frustrated or anything, I had predicted my down-fall and my prediction came true. BTW I didn't play the world for like three weeks.
I was adding blocks of earth to the bottom of a pond to make it shallow. My tamed wolf was in the water with me, and I couldn't place a block under it, so I just placed them all around it. Suddenly I heard it whimpering and realized it was stuck in the hole drowning. Panicked, I did the worst possible thing. I climbed out of the pond and ran away, thinking it would teleport to me. As I was running I could still hear it whimpering and suddenly there was silence. It didn't teleport and when I went back, it was gone.
In future, when something awful or surprising happens, I will try to remember to pause the game and decide on a strategy before doing something so stupid again.

in my first world, I couldn't find iron, and then I found iron in a lake, and crafted a bucket. I was so happy, because I thought iron is so rare, and walking around to milk a cow. suddenly, night comes down to me. I sprinted to my home but I was chased by a spider. when I arrived at my fence, I got killed by that spider when I was opening the fence gate. And I know it broke my heart, I moved to another world with a new home and, after 4 days, I realized that when I die I dropped my items.

Back before I had computer edition, I tried mining gold ore with a wooden pickaxe on PE version. I was a noob back in late 2013.

I post pretty rarely nowadays. Gosh, I wish this place weren't so... empty...
I once built a house out of sand. I also dug myself into a hole without a pickaxe and couldn't get out.
I was not a smart minecrafter in the beginning.

Okay, you may think this is far-fetched.

I don't even play Minecraft much anymore yet here I am on the Minecraft forums for some reason...
Reading all these is so funny!
Just curious, that's all.

At the very first day I play minecraft, it took me 10 minutes to try to craft a fence, just to realize I was crafted a fence gate.
