It's not just mushroom biomes, it's Every biome. What I mean is that the terrain generation has been given too many rules. In Beta, the map would generate to no bounds, but now every biome is practally the same. Just try making a new map in 1.7 beta, you'll see the difference. But then, that's just my opinion.
NO. I have found one mushroom biome in all my time playing minecraft. If anything takes away from the game it is finding an tundra biome next to a desert biome, next to a desert biome, next to a jungle biome... Thank notch...errr Jeb, for large biomes!

Yeah. Large biomes is great. Never made sense to have a snow biome sandwiched between deserts
No, they don't. I've always seen Minecraft has having that little "weird" quality to it, and mushroom biomes fit the bill perfectly for me. I mean, you already have penis-shaped kamikaze shrubs, portals to hell, and a black rip-off of an internet creepy/pasta... So why not mushroom islands?

There's still a misc. factor to a game as weird as minecraft. This is fits it.. And they are annoying. It seems I'm alone with this philosophy.
they are so rare i dont feel they truly effect legit gameplay.

im too lazy to tink of something better to put here so i will put this. cheesefingerchickenpizzalemon wow why are you still reading this is is not amazing, not special, not all that original or even cool?
What the hell?
You guys find mushroom biomes THAT often?
Seriously?
Since the mushroom biomes came out, I have been creating new worlds constantly and explore them (specifically the ocean parts) looking for one, yet I've only found one once.
Next time you spawn in one, if it happens as often as you say, tell me the f*ing seed, please.
Creepers, naturally occuring pink sheep, diamond tools capable of breaking, Nether, The End, worlds theoretically 8x larger than the surface area of Earth, using mods/creative mode to bed the world to your will. Minecraft is not all about realism. Mushroom Biomes are a small unrealistic feature when compared to say, the Nether, especially for their rarity.
The Diamond Tools breaking thing's true, but other than that, nothing else is scientifically proven to exist.

I have no idea what to put here, nor do I have any idea what to make my profile pic. Ideas welcome, I suppose. Now satisfy my like *****ing hogging self and give me a little rep, please and thank you?
Mycelium/mycelia are the fungal equivalent to root/roots, and honestly are kind of the real body of the fungus. Mushrooms are only there for reproduction.
I think mushroom biomes are nice. They give a touch of something alien, and mesh well with Minecraft's extremely understated horror elements. Ever stopped to wonder what might happen to you if you stay in the land of the Mooshrooms long enough? Or why exactly terrifying zombies and creepers and endermen stay the hell out of these places? It only gets better if you know enough about real fungi to know that a fungus growing out of a living creature's head is not all that farfetched, much less one colossal fungal being the size of an island. Did you know there is even a species of fungus that can control the behavior of its host, which it sets down to die in a suitable location for mushrooms to grow? I am not making this up.

"Sometimes, I just wanna give up, say 'I'm done with this mess' and go to bed. But you know what; you can't shrug off your responsibilities. You got to pull yourself up and meet the challenges head on. That's the only way you're gonna get ahead in life."
y cold annyone think they take away frome the game all they do is give you demon mushrom cows that poop stew, odd grass like stuff and like thousands of mushroms and dimonds are rareer than emrald in a mushrom biome so yah there about as usefull as one of these to mine
You guys make the argument that there are many silly, unrealistic things in Minecraft. One thing there is no silliness about is terrain and biomes (unless from glitches.)
I love mushroom biomes and I think they are always an awesome find when you're playing minecraft. I thought about doing a series about trying to find one but I'm afraid that I find the island too soon or it's posible that I never find it.
Well... no. The mushroom biome is still there. I think that the mushroom biome is not possible to find with no seed. The seed i use to get to the mushroom biome is "lost". You may have to look around for it. Type then "/seed" in your world it will tell you a seed but not "lost"
it will say a number. That will be a seed to spawn you the same place over and over again.
Never ever ever ever ever found one.

Half of what you listed exists in real life...
Meh.
Correct.
