ive been looking through servers and all of them have a bunch of signs to read , too many protections, or too complicated... and that was like the 20 servers i went to. the only server i went to that i could just easily start playing in was survival.muttsworldmine.com but.. it was all griefed in the places i could play in .. XD i host my own server but i like to play other servers as well. havent found a good one yet

You answered yourself. The good servers have "a bunch of signs to read", "too many protections", and are "complicated" otherwise they are "all griefed in places [you can] play in".
So thanks to the griefers you either get locked down (whitelist, mod restrictions, etc), complicated, or disastrous servers.
The only good solution is to play with IRL friends. Too many middle-school kids think griefing is awesome, they've kind of ruined it for everybody.

When you run your own server it just feels like another singleplayer world and can get boring fast if none of your friends are on. I would let you join mine, but it's a strict friends only deal. Sorry.
Anyway, I would never understand why people want to play with complete strangers... and even less so with random teenagers that are complete strangers too.
Well if you think about it, You have to hang out with complete strangers to make new freinds.

im just getting bored of playing with my friends
we always do the same thing
and meeting new people is fun cuz everyone is different
and most my friends are bored like hell of mc because we been playin it 1 year +
A good server where you can just play is usually a new start-up one. Everyone is even, it usually isn't flooded with people, and the mods are commonly few.

100% agreed. I'm probably one of few MC players who thinks SMP is worse than SSP, for the reasons stated in the OP.

I wouldn't say that playing with people on Minecraft is a good way to make friends. You have no idea who they are.
