The Greek Gods Challenge
As a faithful worshipper of the Greek Gods, your goal is to continue to do so! However, in the past, you merely worshipped them from your local temple. Since you were recently deported for mining too many diamonds, and breaking the local economy, you will have to construct your temples and start from scratch again. As a result of your deportation, you are also no longer in favor with the Gods, and will have to win back trust.
STRUCTURES:
The Temple- The temple is where your worship takes place. It can range from grand to dismal, but all have one basic requirement- The Room of Blessings. This is where you place your items to gain benefits from the Gods. Other parts of the temple include the Sacrificial Altar, the Washing Room, the Library, and the Divine Chamber.
The Oracle- The Oracle is how the Gods communicate with you. It determines the probabilities of certain events.
Monuments- Gives massive boosts to the God(s)/Goddess(es)

Worshipping:
When you choose to worship a God, you will need to construct a temple to gain benefits that depend on what items you decide to place in The Room of Blessings. To achieve a Tier 1 benefit, you just need to place a chest with a 64 of any material. For a Tier 2 benefit, you need an iron block. For a Tier 3 benefit, you need a lapis lazuli block. For a Tier 4 benefit, you need a gold block. For a Tier 5 benefit, you need a diamond block. All of these items must be placed in The Room of Blessings.
The Room of Blessings must contain one window, but must be otherwise sealed from the outside world. A door is necessary as well. The blocks and chests may be placed wherever you wish, so feel free to make it look good.
Since Gods need appeasement, you must sacrifice a amount of food/items every Minecraft day starting from Tier 2. This is when you need to build a Sacrificial Altar. The Sacrificial Altar is composed of a stone brick pedestal, and chests beneath. You place food in the chests, and the Gods will magically claim it the next day. Gods require an exponential amount of items of food a day per tier, meaning that you must donate one piece of food a day for Tier 2, and two pieces a day for Tier 3, and four pieces a day for Tier 4, and 8 pieces a day for Tier 5. However, if you place a chest by the alter with a full stack of food, it will count for 1 a day. You can place more than one stack, however, you cannot have more than 3 stacks of the same type of food. Raw/cooked are different.
The Washing Room is necessary starting from Tier 3. This must have a stream of water that leads to the central, holier area of your temple, and can be decorated in any way you like. There must be a lapis block under your water source block for your stream, and a fountain in the middle. Once the Washing Room is constructed, you must bathe in it and wash all items you are carrying with you when you wish to enter the inner parts of your temple.
The Library is on the outer part of your temple. It is required starting from Tier 4, and must be at least 9x9x3 (length x width x height). Every alternating row, you must place bookshelves, creating an orderly set of bookshelves for your library. Every set of 9x9x3 unlocks a further ability, once you have 2. To rephrase, you may not have 3 abilities until you have one library, and you may not have 4 abilities until you have 2, and so on so forth. You must place signs describing the ability on the beginning of each bookshelf, in order to not confuse yourself.
The Divine Chamber is the holiest part of your temple. Required for the 5th Tier, it can be directly above, below, or inside The Room of Blessings. The Divine Chamber must have a painting of the God/Godess inside it, a metallic block, all kinds of stone brick, and an obsidian letter marking the first letter of the God/Godess. This is the room where you will conduct your holiest of ceremonies, and you must place a pool of lava in it's center to sacrifice (some of) your possessions to the God you have been so faithful to. You must also place the wool block of your God inside this Chamber.
Minor Gods cap at the second tier.

Oracles and the God system:
At first, you may worship up to 1 major God and 2 minor Gods of your choice. A temple is necessary for each of them, although you may halve the requirements for the minor Gods. To be able to worship more Gods, and achieve a higher Tier, however, you must first consult the Oracle. When you attempt to attain another major God, you have the following chance of succeeding: 1/(#ofMajorGods*2). Use a random number generator to determine your chance of success. To attempt to worship another God, however, you must first build the Oracle.
The Oracle consists of a brick tunnel reaching into a large mountain. Within the outer chamber, there must be a purifying pool. After a set of iron doors, you reach the inner chamber, where stone brick columns line the mossy cobble walls (or if you really can't, lime wool). In the center is a chest and a chair (stair). To determine how much you must sacrifice to see the probabilities of your success, place 3 iron ingots, 3 bread, and 10 bones in the chest for your second Major God. For further Gods, simply multiply the amounts by the additional God you are on (2 for your 3rd God, 3 for your 4th).
Minor Gods are similar, except for the fact that the probability of success is 1/(#ofMinorGods), and the requirements to gain a new one always stays at 3 iron ingots, 3 bread, and 10 bones.
To determine whether you can tier up, use the Minor God system of success, although the only tribute necessary is the Room you create for the tier.

Monuments: Create whatever you deem to be worthy of a monument. It must be large, breathtaking, and spectacular. It could be a massive statue, or a deep pit of sacrifice with lava trailing down it's sides, or something even more creative. A Monument can only be created once you reach Tier 5, and will allow you to reduce all cooldowns of abilities by half, or double the effect of them, depending on what it is. The Monument only works for one God/Goddess, although it can be for 2 Minor Gods/Goddesses

Gods and Goddesses:
As the challenge name states, the Gods and Goddesses will be based on the Greek ones.
There are 12 major Gods and Goddesses, who are also known as the 12 Olympians.
Every day is a minecraft day, and not a real one. You may hack in a clock if necessary.
Major Gods:
1. Zeus
Wool Color: Light blue
Tier 1 Ability: Zeus, as the God of Lightning, lets you turn on peaceful whenever there is an electrified creeper.
Tier 2 Ability: Zeus, who's symbol is the Oak, allows you to summon 2 oak saplings or 1 apple a day.
Tier 3 Ability: Zeus, who's symbol is the Bull, allows you to summon 2 cows a day, of which 1 must be sacrificed (killed) immediately. This means that you may keep the drops, but may not use the cow for breeding before sacrifice.
Tier 4 Abilities:
a. Zeus Agoraeus, Overseer of the Agora, lets you use the Equivalent Exchange features once a day (1 trade).
b. You may also get 1 gold a day.
Tier 5 Abilities:
a. Zeus Aegiduchos, bearer of Aegis, allows you turn on Peaceful for 1 minute every day (does not stack).
b. Zeus, as God of the Sky, allows you to get Feather Falling 2 on 1 out of every 4 pieces of armor you make.
2. Hera
Wool Color: Light grey
Tier 1 Ability: Hera, as the Godess of Marriage, allows you to summon 2 wheat a day for breeding.
Tier 2 Ability: Hera, who's symbol is the Peacock, allows you to summon 2 chickens a day, of which 1 must be sacrificed (killed) immediately. This means that you may keep the drops, but may not use the chickens for breeding before sacrifice.
Tier 3 Ability: Hera, who's symbol is the Cow, allows you to summon 2 cows a day, of which 1 must be sacrificed (killed) immediately. This means that you may keep the drops, but may not use the cow for breeding before sacrifice.
Tier 4 Ability: Hera is known to have a lotus tipped staff. As a worshipper of her, you may collect 2 lilypads a day.
Tier 5 Ability: In Thrace, Hera turned a King and a Queen into mountains. You may now do the same, and collect a mountains worth of stone and valuables for every villager you kill. (You don't have to accept all of the stuff.) This includes: 10 stacks of Cobble, 1 stack of Dirt, 1 stack of Gravel, 1/2 stack of Coal, 1/4 stack of Iron, 1/8 stack of Gold and Lapis, 1/16 stack of Diamond, 3 buckets of Water and Lava, as well as 20 random mob drops (you can decide). If you find this too overpowered, you may change the numbers as you wish.
3. Poseidon
Wool Color: Blue Wool
Tier 1 Ability: Poseidon, who's the God of the Ocean, allows you to summon 1 squid a day.
Tier 2 Ability: Poseidon, who's the God of the Ocean, allows you to summon 1 boat a day.
Tier 3 Ability: Poseidon, who's symbol is the Bull, allows you to summon 2 cows a day, of which 1 must be sacrificed (killed) immediately. This means that you may keep the drops, but may not use the cow for breeding before sacrifice.
Tier 4 Abilities:
a. You may summon 4 clay from the depths of the ocean every day.
b. You may summon an "Earthquake" once a week. An Earthquake is basically 15 tnt grouped together and blown up at the same time.
Tier 5 Abilities:
a. You may place a water related enchantment (such as Aqua Affinity) on 1 out of every 4 pieces of armor you make.
b. As the God of Horses, you may summon 1 saddle a week.
4. Dionysus
Wool color: Purple Wool
Tier 1 Ability: Dionysus is of the trees (as a God of fertility), and this lets you collect 1 sapling of any variety a day.
Tier 2 Ability: Dionysus, as the God of Wine, allows you to collect 3 wheat a day.
Tier 3 Ability: Dionysus, as the God of Dolphins, allows you to summon 3 boats and 1 bucket of water a day.
Tier 4 Abilities:
a. Dionysus, after having granted Midas the ability to turn things into Gold, lets you turn one item into a Gold Ingot every day.
b. The ivy, one of Dionysus's symbols, is given to you once a day.
Tier 5 Abilities:
a. Dionysus cursed Lycurgus to cut up his son with an axe. You are now granted that iron axe once every day.
b. Just as Dionysus descended to Hades twice, you may create a hole down to bedrock once every 20 days, wherever you wish, with a rail connecting to wherever you want.
5. Apollo
Wool color: Yellow wool
Tier 1 Ability: Apollo, the God of Archery, lets you summon a bow or 10 arrows once everyday.
Tier 2 Ability: Apollo, the God of the Sun, lets you call up the Sun (2 glowstone) once everyday.
Tier 3 Ability: Apollo, the God of Knowledge, lets you summon 6 book cases everyday.
Tier 4 Abilities:
a. Apollo, the God of wolves, lets you summon a wolf (untamed) once every 2 days.
b. Apollo, the God of music, lets you summon a noteblock once every 2 days.
Tier 5 Abilities:
a. Apollo, the God of music, lets you summon a record of your choice every 10 days.
b. Apollo, the God of Archery, lets you summon one level 50 enchantment on your bow every 10 days.
6. Artemis
Wool color: Gray wool
Tier 1 Ability: Artemis, the Goddess of Archery, lets you summon a bow or 10 arrows once everyday.
Tier 2 Ability: Artemis, the Goddess of the Moon, lets you call up the moon and make it night once every 3 days.
Tier 3 Ability: Artemis, the Goddess of Animals, lets you summon 2 animals of your choice everyday.
Tier 4 Abilities:
a. Artemis, the Goddess of Hounds, lets you summon a wolf (untamed) once every 2 days.
b. Artemis, the Goddess of Healing women, lets you get a bucket of milk once a day.
Tier 5 Abilities:
a. As the protector of the Agora, Artemis lets you do one "equivalent exchange" a day. You can decide the exchange rates, and how useful they can be. Remember, you don't want to completely ruin the fun for the game, so 1 cobble for 1 diamond is not recommended.
b. Artemis, the God of Archery, lets you summon one level 50 enchantment on your bow every 10 days.
7. Hermes
Wool color: Brown wool
Tier 1 Ability: Hermes, as the God of Literature, lets you summon 1 reed a day (not necessarily for books though).
Tier 2 Ability: Hermes, as Guardian of Flocks, lets you summon 4 wheat a day for breeding or making bread.
Tier 3 Ability: Hermes, as God of Thieves, lets you steal one item from a Mob every 5 minutes (meaning if you don't get the drop you want, you can get it).
Tier 4 Ability:
a. Hermes, as the God of Athletics, lets you summon a regular Speed potion once a day.
b. Hermes, as Leader of Souls, does not deliver you to death once every 15 days (meaning if you die, you can instantly hack yourself back to where you were, and give yourself items you had etc.).
Tier 5 Ability:
a. Hermes, wielder of the Caduceus, lets you do one "equivalent exchange" a day. You can decide the exchange rates, and how useful they can be. Remember, you don't want to completely ruin the fun for the game, so 1 cobble for 1 diamond is not recommended.
b. Hermes, who wears winged sandals, allows you to get Feather Falling 2 on 1 out of every 4 pieces of armor you make.
8. Athena
Wool color: Magenta
Tier 1 Ability: Athena, as the Goddess of Wisdom, allows you to summon 2 redstone a day.
Tier 2 Ability: Athena, as the Goddess of Arts, lets you summon 6 of any colored wool a day.
Tier 3 Ability: Athena, as Ageleia, lets you steal one item from a Mob every 5 minutes (meaning if you don't get the drop you want, you can get it)
Tier 4 Ability:
a. Athena, as the Goddess of Strength, lets you summon a regular Strength potion once a day.
b. Athena, as Inventor of the Chariot, lets you summon any type of Minecart and 16 normal rails or 8 special rails every day.
Tier 5 Ability:
a. Athena, as the Goddess of War, lets you summon one level 50 enchantment on your sword every 10 days.
b. Athena, as Ageleia, allows you turn on Peaceful for 1 minute every day (does not stack).
9. Ares
Wool color: Red
Tier 1 Ability: Ares, as the God of War, lets you summon a bow or 10 arrows every day.
Tier 2 Ability: Ares, as the God of War, lets you summon 1 iron sword every 2 days.
Tier 3 Ability: Ares, as the God of War, lets you summon a full set of gold armor every 5 days.
Tier 4 Ability:
a. Ares, as the God of Valor, lets you summon a regular Strength potion once a day.
b. Ares, as the God of War, lets you summon a splash potion of Harming once a day.
Tier 5 Ability:
a. Ares, as the God of War, lets you summon one level 50 enchantment on your sword every 10 days.
b. Ares, as the God of War, lets you summon one level 50 enchantment on your bow every 10 days.
10. Aphrodite
Wool color: Pink
Tier 1 Ability: Aphrodite, as the Goddess of Beauty, lets you summon 2 of any colored wool a day.
Tier 2 Ability: Aphrodite, as the Goddess of Procreation, lets you summon 4 wheat a day for breeding or making bread.
Tier 3 Ability: Aphrodite, as horses are sacred to her, lets you summon a saddle once every month.
Tier 4 Ability: Aphrodite, as the Goddess of Beauty, lets you summon one lapis lazuli block and glowstone block a day (as it looks nice).
Tier 5 Ability: Aphrodite, as the Goddess of Procreation, lets you summon any 2 mobs every day, for any purpose.
(Yeah, that abilities for her kind of sucks right now, any suggestions?)
11. Hephaestus
Wool color: Orange
Tier 1 Ability: Hephaestus, as God of the Forge, lets you mine one item and get the forged equivalent once a day.
Tier 2 Ability: Hephaestus, as God of Technology, lets you summon 4 redstone a day and an iron ingot
Tier 3 Ability: Hephaestus, as God of Fire, lets you summon 1 Flint&Steel and 2 Firecharges a day.
Tier 4 Ability:
a. Hephaestus, as God of Fire, lets you summon one normal Fire Resistance potion a day.
b. Hephasetsus, the Lame One, lets you summon one splash potion of Slowness every day.
Tier 5 Ability:
a. Hephaestus, as God of Craftsmen, lets you summon one piece of Chainmail armor every 2 days.
b. Hephaestus, as God of Craftsmen, lets you summon one sponge every 2 days.
12. Demeter
Wool Color: Green
Tier 1 Ability: Demeter, as the Goddess of Grains, lets you summon 2 seeds a day.
Tier 2 Ability: Demeter, as the Goddess of the Harvest, lets you summon 6 bonemeal a day.
Tier 3 Ability: Demeter, as the Goddess of the Harvest, lets you summon 1 pumpkin or melon every 2 days.
Tier 4 Ability: Demeter, as the Goddess of the Cycle of Life and Death, does not deliver you to death once every 15 days (meaning if you die, you can instantly hack yourself back to where you were, and give yourself items you had etc.).
Tier 5 Ability: Demeter, as the Goddess of the Sacred Law, lets you use the Equivalent Exchange features twice a day (2 trades).
13. Hades
Wool color: Black
Tier 1 Ability: Hades, who controls the underground, gives you 5 torches a day to light up places (such as the underground).
Tier 2 Ability: Hades, who's throne is made of Ebony, allows you to summon 2 saplings or 1 apple/leaf a day.
Tier 3 Ability: Hades, owner of Cerberus, allows you to summon a wolf every 5 days.
Tier 4 Ability:
a. Hades, as the ruler of the dead, does not deliver you to death once every 15 days (meaning if you die, you can instantly hack yourself back to where you were, and give yourself items you had etc.).
Tier 5 Ability:
a. Hades, having control of all minerals, grants you one random ore every day, of equal probability for each (use random number generator).
b. Hades, having control of all minerals, grants you the enchantment Fortune for one out of every four tools of the same class that you enchant with (so 4 iron picks or diamond picks).
Minor Gods:
1. Asclepius
Wool color: White
Tier 1 Ability: Allows one piece of cooked food every day.
Tier 2 Ability: Grants one splash potion of Healing every 3 days.
2. Pan
Wool color: Green
Tier 1 Ability: Allows one passive mob to be spawned every 3 days.
Tier 2 Ability: Allows one level 10 enchant on bows every 15 days.
3. Aeolus
Wool color: Light Gray
Tier 1 Ability: Allows feather falling on all leather armor.
Tier 2 Ability: Grants one splash potion of Speed every 3 days.
4. Hecate
Wool color: Black
Tier 1 Ability: Once you have half the number of obsidian required to make a Nether Portal, you can get the other half only if you use it to build one.
Tier 2 Ability: Adds 3 levels to you every day.
5. Hypnos
Wool Color: Gray
Tier 1 Ability: Grants a bed every day.
Tier 2 Ability: Grants one splash potion of Slowness every 3 days.
6. Tyche
Wool color: Yellow
Tier 1 Ability: Gets you 1 random block and item every day (generate random number, correspond to block and item ids to save time).
Tier 2 Ability: Allows looting/fortune level 1 enchantment on one out of every 5 pieces of equipment you make of the same type and material.
What should you do after you finish everything (all Gods and Goddesses to max. tier with monuments)?
First of all, the Gods and Goddesses are now pleased, and they believe that you are now better than everyone else in the place where you came from, and do not need them. As a reward, you are tasked to designing a new Mt. Olympus (their home) for them. Be sure to add rooms for each deity, and make it large and awesome! If you want, you can also construct an underworld. After that, it's all up to you! Use your creativity and imagination.
The War Survivor Challenge
As the General of the 13th Minecraft Legion, your troops mutinied after they realized the battles they were going to face. However, with supplies and a small fort to hold for a few weeks, you know you have a hope of surviving the incoming armies, on your own.
Note: I may make an accompanying map just for this challenge later on, so you don't have to do any of the redstone stuff, but I'm not doing it now, because I want the you guys to be able to adjust it depending on how hard you want it.
General Rules:
1. If you die, game over. Start again.
2. Use any difficulty except for Peaceful.
3. You may do anything you want except for mess with the spawning mechanisms after they are built.
4. If it is night and you are not at your fort, stop what you are doing instantly. Use an editor to place yourself back at the fort or sprint back as fast as you can to start the waves. If you can automate the waves, do so, but it will make it harder, as the waves could start without you being there.
5. You can make the waves as hard as you want, so you decide. However, it is recommended to add blazes and ghasts at some point, as they can break blocks.
More details on scenario:
You have to hold a fort that is at least 30x30x10 (lwh), and has at least 2 floors. In the center, place a block of glowstone, the only glowstone you should have in the fort. This is key intelligence for the scientists of your army, who wish to extract the chemicals in them and synthesize it to make portable lamps. Every day, a wave of mobs should come to attack your base. There must be at least 2 creepers in every wave, and they should get progressively harder and larger. The attack should come around nightfall, and you can trigger it yourself by building dispenser and redstone, which can be hacked in. However, place the dispensers so that they can't be destroyed by you or mobs. After 4 weeks, the army arrives, and you have won.
Materials you can use:
At the end of the first of week, you can use iron tools.
At the end of the second week, you can use diamond tools.
At the end of the third week, you can use enchantments/potions.
Do not light the outside of the fort up, so that mobs can naturally spawn.
The fort should be made of wood initially, but you can upgrade it legitly.
Also, if you have not found any diamonds, you may give yourself 2 every single day after you may use it.
If you have, but don't find any the next day, you can still collect the 2 the next day, as there is no "overflow".

I feel this thread needs a little bumping and life, as updates don't seem to do the trick, and this is all based off the same post. Minor Gods are similar, except for the fact that the probability of success is 1/(#ofMinorGods), and the requirements to gain a new one always stays at 3 iron ingots, 3 bread, and 10 bones.
To determine whether you can tier up, use the Minor God system of success, although the only tribute necessary is the Room you create for the tier.

Monuments: Create whatever you deem to be worthy of a monument. It must be large, breathtaking, and spectacular. It could be a massive statue, or a deep pit of sacrifice with lava trailing down it's sides, or something even more creative. A Monument can only be created once you reach Tier 5, and will allow you to reduce all cooldowns of abilities by half, or double the effect of them, depending on what it is. The Monument only works for one God/Goddess, although it can be for 2 Minor Gods/Goddesses

As the challenge name states, the Gods and Goddesses will be based on the Greek ones.
There are 12 major Gods and Goddesses, who are also known as the 12 Olympians.
Every day is a minecraft day, and not a real one. You may hack in a clock if necessary.
Major Gods:
1. Zeus
Wool Color: Light blue
Tier 1 Ability: Zeus, as the God of Lightning, lets you turn on peaceful whenever there is an electrified creeper.
Tier 2 Ability: Zeus, who's symbol is the Oak, allows you to summon 2 oak saplings or 1 apple a day.
Tier 3 Ability: Zeus, who's symbol is the Bull, allows you to summon 2 cows a day, of which 1 must be sacrificed (killed) immediately. This means that you may keep the drops, but may not use the cow for breeding before sacrifice.
Tier 4 Abilities:
a. Zeus Agoraeus, Overseer of the Agora, lets you use the Equivalent Exchange features once a day (1 trade).
b. You may also get 1 gold a day.
Tier 5 Abilities:
a. Zeus Aegiduchos, bearer of Aegis, allows you turn on Peaceful for 1 minute every day (does not stack).
b. Zeus, as God of the Sky, allows you to get Feather Falling 2 on 1 out of every 4 pieces of armor you make.
2. Hera
Wool Color: Light grey
Tier 1 Ability: Hera, as the Godess of Marriage, allows you to summon 2 wheat a day for breeding.
Tier 2 Ability: Hera, who's symbol is the Peacock, allows you to summon 2 chickens a day, of which 1 must be sacrificed (killed) immediately. This means that you may keep the drops, but may not use the chickens for breeding before sacrifice.
Tier 3 Ability: Hera, who's symbol is the Cow, allows you to summon 2 cows a day, of which 1 must be sacrificed (killed) immediately. This means that you may keep the drops, but may not use the cow for breeding before sacrifice.
Tier 4 Ability: Hera is known to have a lotus tipped staff. As a worshipper of her, you may collect 2 lilypads a day.
Tier 5 Ability: In Thrace, Hera turned a King and a Queen into mountains. You may now do the same, and collect a mountains worth of stone and valuables for every villager you kill. (You don't have to accept all of the stuff.) This includes: 10 stacks of Cobble, 1 stack of Dirt, 1 stack of Gravel, 1/2 stack of Coal, 1/4 stack of Iron, 1/8 stack of Gold and Lapis, 1/16 stack of Diamond, 3 buckets of Water and Lava, as well as 20 random mob drops (you can decide). If you find this too overpowered, you may change the numbers as you wish.
3. Poseidon
Wool Color: Blue Wool
Tier 1 Ability: Poseidon, who's the God of the Ocean, allows you to summon 1 squid a day.
Tier 2 Ability: Poseidon, who's the God of the Ocean, allows you to summon 1 boat a day.
Tier 3 Ability: Poseidon, who's symbol is the Bull, allows you to summon 2 cows a day, of which 1 must be sacrificed (killed) immediately. This means that you may keep the drops, but may not use the cow for breeding before sacrifice.
Tier 4 Abilities:
a. You may summon 4 clay from the depths of the ocean every day.
b. You may summon an "Earthquake" once a week. An Earthquake is basically 15 tnt grouped together and blown up at the same time.
Tier 5 Abilities:
a. You may place a water related enchantment (such as Aqua Affinity) on 1 out of every 4 pieces of armor you make.
b. As the God of Horses, you may summon 1 saddle a week.
4. Dionysus
Wool color: Purple Wool
Tier 1 Ability: Dionysus is of the trees (as a God of fertility), and this lets you collect 1 sapling of any variety a day.
Tier 2 Ability: Dionysus, as the God of Wine, allows you to collect 3 wheat a day.
Tier 3 Ability: Dionysus, as the God of Dolphins, allows you to summon 3 boats and 1 bucket of water a day.
Tier 4 Abilities:
a. Dionysus, after having granted Midas the ability to turn things into Gold, lets you turn one item into a Gold Ingot every day.
b. The ivy, one of Dionysus's symbols, is given to you once a day.
Tier 5 Abilities:
a. Dionysus cursed Lycurgus to cut up his son with an axe. You are now granted that iron axe once every day.
b. Just as Dionysus descended to Hades twice, you may create a hole down to bedrock once every 20 days, wherever you wish, with a rail connecting to wherever you want.
5. Apollo
Wool color: Yellow wool
Tier 1 Ability: Apollo, the God of Archery, lets you summon a bow or 10 arrows once everyday.
Tier 2 Ability: Apollo, the God of the Sun, lets you call up the Sun (2 glowstone) once everyday.
Tier 3 Ability: Apollo, the God of Knowledge, lets you summon 6 book cases everyday.
Tier 4 Abilities:
a. Apollo, the God of wolves, lets you summon a wolf (untamed) once every 2 days.
b. Apollo, the God of music, lets you summon a noteblock once every 2 days.
Tier 5 Abilities:
a. Apollo, the God of music, lets you summon a record of your choice every 10 days.
b. Apollo, the God of Archery, lets you summon one level 50 enchantment on your bow every 10 days.
6. Artemis
Wool color: Gray wool
Tier 1 Ability: Artemis, the Goddess of Archery, lets you summon a bow or 10 arrows once everyday.
Tier 2 Ability: Artemis, the Goddess of the Moon, lets you call up the moon and make it night once every 3 days.
Tier 3 Ability: Artemis, the Goddess of Animals, lets you summon 2 animals of your choice everyday.
Tier 4 Abilities:
a. Artemis, the Goddess of Hounds, lets you summon a wolf (untamed) once every 2 days.
b. Artemis, the Goddess of Healing women, lets you get a bucket of milk once a day.
Tier 5 Abilities:
a. As the protector of the Agora, Artemis lets you do one "equivalent exchange" a day. You can decide the exchange rates, and how useful they can be. Remember, you don't want to completely ruin the fun for the game, so 1 cobble for 1 diamond is not recommended.
b. Artemis, the God of Archery, lets you summon one level 50 enchantment on your bow every 10 days.
7. Hermes
Wool color: Brown wool
Tier 1 Ability: Hermes, as the God of Literature, lets you summon 1 reed a day (not necessarily for books though).
Tier 2 Ability: Hermes, as Guardian of Flocks, lets you summon 4 wheat a day for breeding or making bread.
Tier 3 Ability: Hermes, as God of Thieves, lets you steal one item from a Mob every 5 minutes (meaning if you don't get the drop you want, you can get it).
Tier 4 Ability:
a. Hermes, as the God of Athletics, lets you summon a regular Speed potion once a day.
b. Hermes, as Leader of Souls, does not deliver you to death once every 15 days (meaning if you die, you can instantly hack yourself back to where you were, and give yourself items you had etc.).
Tier 5 Ability:
a. Hermes, wielder of the Caduceus, lets you do one "equivalent exchange" a day. You can decide the exchange rates, and how useful they can be. Remember, you don't want to completely ruin the fun for the game, so 1 cobble for 1 diamond is not recommended.
b. Hermes, who wears winged sandals, allows you to get Feather Falling 2 on 1 out of every 4 pieces of armor you make.
8. Athena
Wool color: Magenta
Tier 1 Ability: Athena, as the Goddess of Wisdom, allows you to summon 2 redstone a day.
Tier 2 Ability: Athena, as the Goddess of Arts, lets you summon 6 of any colored wool a day.
Tier 3 Ability: Athena, as Ageleia, lets you steal one item from a Mob every 5 minutes (meaning if you don't get the drop you want, you can get it)
Tier 4 Ability:
a. Athena, as the Goddess of Strength, lets you summon a regular Strength potion once a day.
b. Athena, as Inventor of the Chariot, lets you summon any type of Minecart and 16 normal rails or 8 special rails every day.
Tier 5 Ability:
a. Athena, as the Goddess of War, lets you summon one level 50 enchantment on your sword every 10 days.
b. Athena, as Ageleia, allows you turn on Peaceful for 1 minute every day (does not stack).
9. Ares
Wool color: Red
Tier 1 Ability: Ares, as the God of War, lets you summon a bow or 10 arrows every day.
Tier 2 Ability: Ares, as the God of War, lets you summon 1 iron sword every 2 days.
Tier 3 Ability: Ares, as the God of War, lets you summon a full set of gold armor every 5 days.
Tier 4 Ability:
a. Ares, as the God of Valor, lets you summon a regular Strength potion once a day.
b. Ares, as the God of War, lets you summon a splash potion of Harming once a day.
Tier 5 Ability:
a. Ares, as the God of War, lets you summon one level 50 enchantment on your sword every 10 days.
b. Ares, as the God of War, lets you summon one level 50 enchantment on your bow every 10 days.
10. Aphrodite
Wool color: Pink
Tier 1 Ability: Aphrodite, as the Goddess of Beauty, lets you summon 2 of any colored wool a day.
Tier 2 Ability: Aphrodite, as the Goddess of Procreation, lets you summon 4 wheat a day for breeding or making bread.
Tier 3 Ability: Aphrodite, as horses are sacred to her, lets you summon a saddle once every month.
Tier 4 Ability: Aphrodite, as the Goddess of Beauty, lets you summon one lapis lazuli block and glowstone block a day (as it looks nice).
Tier 5 Ability: Aphrodite, as the Goddess of Procreation, lets you summon any 2 mobs every day, for any purpose.
(Yeah, that abilities for her kind of sucks right now, any suggestions?)
11. Hephaestus
Wool color: Orange
Tier 1 Ability: Hephaestus, as God of the Forge, lets you mine one item and get the forged equivalent once a day.
Tier 2 Ability: Hephaestus, as God of Technology, lets you summon 4 redstone a day and an iron ingot
Tier 3 Ability: Hephaestus, as God of Fire, lets you summon 1 Flint&Steel and 2 Firecharges a day.
Tier 4 Ability:
a. Hephaestus, as God of Fire, lets you summon one normal Fire Resistance potion a day.
b. Hephasetsus, the Lame One, lets you summon one splash potion of Slowness every day.
Tier 5 Ability:
a. Hephaestus, as God of Craftsmen, lets you summon one piece of Chainmail armor every 2 days.
b. Hephaestus, as God of Craftsmen, lets you summon one sponge every 2 days.
12. Demeter
Wool Color: Green
Tier 1 Ability: Demeter, as the Goddess of Grains, lets you summon 2 seeds a day.
Tier 2 Ability: Demeter, as the Goddess of the Harvest, lets you summon 6 bonemeal a day.
Tier 3 Ability: Demeter, as the Goddess of the Harvest, lets you summon 1 pumpkin or melon every 2 days.
Tier 4 Ability: Demeter, as the Goddess of the Cycle of Life and Death, does not deliver you to death once every 15 days (meaning if you die, you can instantly hack yourself back to where you were, and give yourself items you had etc.).
Tier 5 Ability: Demeter, as the Goddess of the Sacred Law, lets you use the Equivalent Exchange features twice a day (2 trades).
13. Hades
Wool color: Black
Tier 1 Ability: Hades, who controls the underground, gives you 5 torches a day to light up places (such as the underground).
Tier 2 Ability: Hades, who's throne is made of Ebony, allows you to summon 2 saplings or 1 apple/leaf a day.
Tier 3 Ability: Hades, owner of Cerberus, allows you to summon a wolf every 5 days.
Tier 4 Ability:
a. Hades, as the ruler of the dead, does not deliver you to death once every 15 days (meaning if you die, you can instantly hack yourself back to where you were, and give yourself items you had etc.).
Tier 5 Ability:
a. Hades, having control of all minerals, grants you one random ore every day, of equal probability for each (use random number generator).
b. Hades, having control of all minerals, grants you the enchantment Fortune for one out of every four tools of the same class that you enchant with (so 4 iron picks or diamond picks).
Minor Gods:
1. Asclepius
Wool color: White
Tier 1 Ability: Allows one piece of cooked food every day.
Tier 2 Ability: Grants one splash potion of Healing every 3 days.
2. Pan
Wool color: Green
Tier 1 Ability: Allows one passive mob to be spawned every 3 days.
Tier 2 Ability: Allows one level 10 enchant on bows every 15 days.
3. Aeolus
Wool color: Light Gray
Tier 1 Ability: Allows feather falling on all leather armor.
Tier 2 Ability: Grants one splash potion of Speed every 3 days.
4. Hecate
Wool color: Black
Tier 1 Ability: Once you have half the number of obsidian required to make a Nether Portal, you can get the other half only if you use it to build one.
Tier 2 Ability: Adds 3 levels to you every day.
5. Hypnos
Wool Color: Gray
Tier 1 Ability: Grants a bed every day.
Tier 2 Ability: Grants one splash potion of Slowness every 3 days.
6. Tyche
Wool color: Yellow
Tier 1 Ability: Gets you 1 random block and item every day (generate random number, correspond to block and item ids to save time).
Tier 2 Ability: Allows looting/fortune level 1 enchantment on one out of every 5 pieces of equipment you make of the same type and material.
First of all, the Gods and Goddesses are now pleased, and they believe that you are now better than everyone else in the place where you came from, and do not need them. As a reward, you are tasked to designing a new Mt. Olympus (their home) for them. Be sure to add rooms for each deity, and make it large and awesome! If you want, you can also construct an underworld. After that, it's all up to you! Use your creativity and imagination.
The War Survivor Challenge
As the General of the 13th Minecraft Legion, your troops mutinied after they realized the battles they were going to face. However, with supplies and a small fort to hold for a few weeks, you know you have a hope of surviving the incoming armies, on your own.
Note: I may make an accompanying map just for this challenge later on, so you don't have to do any of the redstone stuff, but I'm not doing it now, because I want the you guys to be able to adjust it depending on how hard you want it.
General Rules:
1. If you die, game over. Start again.
2. Use any difficulty except for Peaceful.
3. You may do anything you want except for mess with the spawning mechanisms after they are built.
4. If it is night and you are not at your fort, stop what you are doing instantly. Use an editor to place yourself back at the fort or sprint back as fast as you can to start the waves. If you can automate the waves, do so, but it will make it harder, as the waves could start without you being there.
5. You can make the waves as hard as you want, so you decide. However, it is recommended to add blazes and ghasts at some point, as they can break blocks.
More details on scenario:
You have to hold a fort that is at least 30x30x10 (lwh), and has at least 2 floors. In the center, place a block of glowstone, the only glowstone you should have in the fort. This is key intelligence for the scientists of your army, who wish to extract the chemicals in them and synthesize it to make portable lamps. Every day, a wave of mobs should come to attack your base. There must be at least 2 creepers in every wave, and they should get progressively harder and larger. The attack should come around nightfall, and you can trigger it yourself by building dispenser and redstone, which can be hacked in. However, place the dispensers so that they can't be destroyed by you or mobs. After 4 weeks, the army arrives, and you have won.
Materials you can use:
At the end of the first of week, you can use iron tools.
At the end of the second week, you can use diamond tools.
At the end of the third week, you can use enchantments/potions.
Do not light the outside of the fort up, so that mobs can naturally spawn.
The fort should be made of wood initially, but you can upgrade it legitly.
Also, if you have not found any diamonds, you may give yourself 2 every single day after you may use it.
If you have, but don't find any the next day, you can still collect the 2 the next day, as there is no "overflow".
