Dude how about this:
Jeb is running out of ideas, so what does he do he is stealing mod ideas, proof:
"Stealing" ideas is an incorrect term. Mods are designed specifically for HIS game. In order to even make a mod, you have to first use the content, engine and platform that Mojang made. To clear things up for the uneducated, what they are infact doing is noticing these amazing ideas and rather than forcing players to go download mods in order to access them... they are simply adding such features to the main game.
TL;DR: Not everyone DL's mods, Mojang is not stealing from mods, they are incorporating features into the game.
Let me catch you with a wheat farm, bone meal, or TNT, I'll give you the flame of your life. "Mob grinders" are straight up people being creative and using the game mechanics how they want to. It's not like exploiting a bug. The reason this game is called a sandbox is because people can use the tools given them however they want. The only way to "cheat" in Minecraft is to exploit bugs like the piston duplication glitch back in 1.7. - unintentional and severely overpowered. 9 diamonds -> infinite diamonds is a much bigger problem than XP farms.
TNT? Cheating. Free block destruction for crafting some sand? Pathetic. Bone meal? Cheating. Free plants without going and exploring forests until you drop dead? Ridiculous. Wheat farms? You're too lazy to cave until you find dungeons with wheat in them? Lame. See a pattern?
I understand rules, but telling people they can't do something that's perfectly possible and normal with the current game mechanics is ludicrous. It's not like they're using x-ray or a fly-mod. THAT'S cheating.
TNT, you need to take the effort to kill something,
Bone meal? You need to go through the effort of killing skeletons
Wheat? Seriously? they just handed that one to us, thats why they PUT wheat there
Gee, i guess the piston thing was people being creative and using the game how they want to as well too!
Well then what YOU call cheats are straight up people being creative and using the game how they want to as well
As someone said before, it's Mojangs game, not yours.
Why some people think they should change the game for everyone so they can play it their way is beyond me.
What if some of us don't want to play it your way?
What I don't get it why people on these forums think that they game should be changed for everyone when they don't like how a game mechanic works.
If you don't like mob farms, grinders, etc. then don't use them. No one is forcing you to. At the same time don't ruin them for those of us that do use them. There's no reason why my single player world should be affected because you don't like it in your world.
EXP Grinders have been around since 1.8 for crying out loud. ALMOST A YEAR. WHY CHANGE THEM NOW? If leveling up is so damn easy then change the enchantment cap back to 50 and STFU.
That was the mistake. Changing the cap from 50 to 30 and then making exp obtainable from mining any resource blocks, cooking anything, and now even fishing. Not only did it make getting better enchantments easier, it made it extremely faster too.
Frankly Dinnerbone/Jeb need to leave the damn game mechanics alone. It's ridiculous that they feel the need to suddenly change something that's been around for this long. Blah, blah, blah making the game harder. ********. The wither - a push over - kill-able in less than 30 seconds. I know, I've killed him 3 times already. Changing fire spread again? Griefing anyone?
---
TL:DR a game mechanic that's been around for almost a year shouldn't be essentially removed because they feel it ruins the game by making enchanting to easy when they added tons of new ways to get EXP. If it ruins the game for them then don't have to use it. If I want to use it I should be able to. At the very least they should hold an official poll on the matter.
As for adding in features that are basically copied to a T from mods. I don't particularly mind this so long as it doesn't drastically change the feeling of the game. Something like Mo creature's should be kept as a mod rather than brought directly in the game for example.
Jeb is the best thing to happen to Minecraft since its inception. And just an FYI, before notch left, he added pistons and NPC villages, both of which came from mods, lrn2minecraft noobs.
I thought your post was fine until the end, Jeb-lover. People's tastes are different, and this is why they have their opinions.
He can also be never the best thing that happened to Minecraft because Notch created the game first :).
I think the reason for nerfing grinders is that lots of people are easily getting high level enchantments without doing much work at all. Now, before you say that nerfing them is forcing people to play one way, grinders are themselves forcing people to play one way. Before enchanting cap was lowered to 30, the only way to get to 50 was to use a grinder. Otherwise, you would have to fight mobs endlessly to get a high level enchantment, which took a very long time and wasn't worth it.
Jeb's idea was to lower the enchanting cap to 30, and making it easier to get experience. By doing this, grinder productivity increased tremendously allowing people who used grinders to get enchantment easier then you are supposed to. His reasons for nerfing them were to even out grinders with normally obtained experience. He's not trying to force you to play without grinders, but he is trying to make it so that grinders are not the best or quickest way to go.
Now, onto the topic of throwing in new stuff. He can "steal" any mod he wants. The creators of the mods don't have any copyrights whatsoever, and they won't get any either. The modders used minecraft's code to make their mods, so if you want to argue legality, Mojang has every right to sue the mod creators for copyright infringement. Mojang doesn't because they like the community effort gone into the game in making many amazing mods. The mod creators did not write the code, they merely expanded upon it. Because of that, Jeb should have every right to incorporate mods into the game.
Although, he has gone a bit overboard with adding in new stuff. I mean, a lot of things he has put in are cool, but most of them are just useless little features which don't add much in the game. For instance: Potatoes! Right now, they are useless and if they ever get a use, they'll probably be just as effective as coco beans. He need to work on the functionality of the game, not just adding in whatever comes to mind.
Uh, first of all if you haven't noticed, there's infinite ways to play Minecraft. Just because Jeb picked on your one way to get XP doesn't mean he's telling you "DO THIS DO THAT."
Besides, are you telling me that the people who invented XP farming aren't smart enough to find a new way? Really? If so, then you guys truly are noobs.

Exactly, mods were supposed to make gamer fun and twisted play-troughs ,if jeb is adding them
Its excellent, his next step is add something like Aether and fix bugs
Then MineHeaven would be complete
I THINK ITS STUPID THAT XP GRINDERS WILL BE MESSED UP! SOME GRINDERS LIKE ENDER ENDERS TOOK ALOT OF TIME!
XP Grinders will not be messed up in 1.4 last I heard. Dinnerbone removed that for now, and said that the system needs fixing, but that this wasn't the way to do that. It was just from actual spawners anyway, so your Ender Ender would not have been messed up. Nor would a silverfish fisher or a standard mob farm.

So Witches, Faster Nether Loading, Command Block upgrades, Beacon, Silverfish blocks spawning in caves, pumpkin pie, Superflat Customization, Pig control methods, Changes to breeding for chickens and pigs, XP from fishing, Wither, Wither Skeletons, Nether Stars, carrots and potatoes, mobs wearing armor, mobs picking up and equipping armor/weapons, mobs using armor/weapons, Mobs going through Nether Portals, and all the other changes are all "useless little features that don't add much to the game?"

*Le Sigh...*
I believe I said most, not all. I think new additions to nether portals, mobs and armor, villager zombies, etc. are all some pretty amazing features. But others like potatoes, pumpkin pie, or witches may be a cool feature, but in the end doesn't add anything of much importance to the game. Now, later on they might expand upon and make them a worthwhile addition, but they haven't been doing that. They are focused on "what can I add to the game" rather than "what can I make better in the game." They need to focus on the stuff they already have, but instead they've been adding in more stuff with no useful purpose, until they get around to working on it.
I guess what I'm saying is that I want to see what they can improve rather than what they can add in.
How many more of these posts are there going to be? If you think Jeb is ruining MC, instead of complaining, why don't you just quit? I think MC is fun, and Jeb is just trying to make it funner. I haven't heard of Jeb getting rid of XP farms. How is that possible? If you kill an animal, you get XP points. So if you cage them up and breed them, then kill them, you still get XP. I don't really think there is a possible way? It doesn't have to be a monster. I think animals are the easiest to make an XP farm. Plus, I think it's cool that he's adding in those new additions. Then you don't need to get those mods to have those awesome things. As someone said before me, Minecraft owns the mods since the modders are just editing and adding a few files. So really, Mojang can do that. It's annoying seeing all this hate agaisnt Jeb, and I think he's doing a good job. Not everyone likes to just build you know. I like survival, not really building that much. With these new additions, it makes MC more worth-while to play, especially with the new Adventure Update coming. (I'm so excited!) Notch did a good job, but everyone has their own ideas. Jeb is adding in his ideas to make MC better. Besides, with these new items, people can imagine up more things to build!
i heard that xp farms will be nerfed in 1.4 and this makes me really mad because just because jeb hates xp and mob farms he gets to nerf them. who cares if other people xp farm its not hurting you jeb thats just how we are playing. i feel like jeb is just wanting us to play the way he does. and thats ok but dont nerf the way other people play. thats like if i only like to play survival mode i take out creative mode and all mods that gives items.
im not trying to sound mean but please tell me what you think of this

Anyways if you don't like the way they are making it, click x on your browser and quit minecraft forever.
