My family and I are currently working on a server. We've got everything working thus far. We want to replace your typical brewery with coffees, teas, and sodas. However, when we went into the en_US.lang file and changed the names of potions, you can still summon them in-game and there's been an odd naming conflict.
Also, I redid a texture of a mob AND renamed it in the .lang file, but when you get killed by them, it still says that the original mob killed you. (i.e., Shareina was mutilated by Witch using Telepathic Snow.)
Is there another file that renames them? Am I missing something?
Did you only change the language file on the server? You also need to change it client-side or have the server send its custom resource pack to the client (add the path to it to the "resource-pack" line in server.properties. Note that this must be a resource pack, not just the .lang file, though that is basically all it needs, in addition to any custom textures).
