Other: Floating Islands with open tops to the sky, each island with a different function (like smelting or wheat farming, all connected by (usually wooden) bridges, often with a waterfall enterance tat I swim up or hop down.
Occasionally I'll hollow out a mountain and make my base in their.

I have no idea what to put here, nor do I have any idea what to make my profile pic. Ideas welcome, I suppose. Now satisfy my like *****ing hogging self and give me a little rep, please and thank you?
Here is the album (I haven't named them= buildings yet, but in the bird's eye views, the building from left to right are: skeleton XP farm, brewery, enchantment room, tree farm, Nether portal (in netherbrick, below tree farm) "barn", furnace hut, fountain, storage (largest, and only non-square one), greenhouse for pumpkin and watermelons, mining center (across from storage), bedroom, auto wheat farm (across bedroom), and old-school mushroom farm. The Nether Base is a floating building made of netherbrick and glass and glowstone. It currently serves as a yet-to-be finished railway to an End portal and a blaze farm. The Blaze farm itself is finsihed, just not the railway to it.
Some people really need to stay away from the government propaganda department. Let the brain-washing machines have a day off, they must need maintenance by now.

Hmm... in vanilla I'm all about the wood + stone brick two-story houses, but if I'm using some sort of mod that lets me amass huge quantities of building materials I'll go for a more extravagant castle, village, fortress, etc.
Who needs cool houses? I spend most of my time above ground rather than in my crappy, sloppy, not well made cave house.

Only on my first survival map, but I really enjoy expanding my house bit-by-bit with no real plan. I started with an 8x4 wooden square, and without even realizing it it's transformed into a 3.5 story stone brick house. The original room is still intact, just for nostalgic purposes.
Forget houses; I like my world. Walls are just in the way of seeing and visiting it. So if I need a place, fences or trenches or raised platforms are my defence perimeter, but I live in the open air.
