3 Smelted Iron in a V shape on a crafting bench will make a bucket. Pick up water with the bucket by right clicking on it. Then place it wherever you want. A 2*2 square with water in opposite corners becomes a infinite water source.
Actually, as someone who's been playing Minecraft for a while - don't use the wiki, or at least not more than you absolutely need to. Learning how everything works was a lot of fun, and you only get one chance to do it.
Some tips to get you started though:
* You don't need to use F3 - light level is determined by how far you are away from a light source, so try some different patterns and find out how closely you need to put your torches.
* Water behaves rather oddly in Minecraft - get a bucket and do some experimenting. With practice, you can make ornamental fountains, conveyer belts for your farms, and small pools that provide an infinite supply of water.
* Since you have a lot of stone, make a stone axe and sword. It should make harvesting trees a lot easier. Also, you can grow trees underground if you light it brightly enough.
I have only 5 post left so I'd like to ask more questions here.
I want to make a farm land but I couldn't make the water flow properly (it just sink away when it travel some short distance...)

Thats bedrock, you can't mine it unless in creative or using mods. The floating particles if you are wondering is to indicate you are on the bottom 6 layers of the world.

favorite thread I have come across yet xD I remember when I was new. I jumped like a wuss when I saw mobs. So good goin =] You will get The hang of thing I did a lot of research and watched a lot of youtube vids when I started But you have to know which information is useful and which is not
F3 lists 3 values for light. These are BL, SL, and RL. These values indicate the light level at your eyes, not your feet (your character is 2 blocks tall).
BL is block light and indicates the light level of light-emitting blocks such as torches, redstone torches, redstone lamps, jack-o-lanterns, glowstone, lava, cocoa plants, etc. Anything that gives off light.
SL is sunlight and will always be max (15) or 0 depending on if sunlight is touching you or not.
RL is real light and is just whatever is higher of the two. If sunlight is reaching you, then this will also be 15. Otherwise, it'll be whatever BL is.
BL is what you want to pay attention to when lighting things up to prevent mob spawning, since sunlight disappears at night anyways. Mobs spawn at light level 7, but they spawn on the surface of where you're standing on. Since BL indicates the level of light at your face, you need to take that into consideration. If the light source is on the same level or higher than your face, then the actual light on the block below you where mobs can spawn would be 1 less. So if BL is 8, the light level of the floor most likely is 7 and mobs will still spawn. If you're still not sure, dig one block under you. Your face will now be the block above where the ground will be and you can easily check the light level of that space by referencing the BL value.
