Hello! This is something that happened to me in Minecraft last year and is still puzzling me today. It happened exactly as follows, maybe someone can explain what in the world happened! I created a new world, and named it 'Narnia', just because it sounded cool, and I got a grass biome right next to a large ocean. I built a house right next to the shore, went mining, but stopped playing after a week when a creeper blew up my house and I got discouraged. I deleted the world, (positive about this), and created a new one a while later and started over. I named this one 'Narnia' also, cause I really like the name. This time I got a snow biome next to a large frozen ocean. I built a house, went mining...etc. One day I built a map and tried to fill it all in for fun. When exploring the very other end of the frozen ocean, I found that the snow biome stopped. After swimming a little further, I discovered another shore. And there, on the shore, was my old house, mine, everything, just as I left it! I am so confused...... ~Tardis_Console
it's a Chunk Error. sometimes when you delete a world not all of the world is deleted. and sometimes if you name a world the same thing as the old world that was deleted the files get mixed up and VOILA! you have your old house. XD
There isn't much time. Delete the world, NOW, before the rift through space spreads!
Seriously though, I've heard of this before. Sometimes when you delete a world, it only deletes level.dat, which stores the seed, your coordinates, the time, that kind of thing, not the chunk data, and when you create a world with the same name, newly generated land uses the new seed and what was already there stays how it was.
Thanks a bunch! Rift through space-time spreads...LOL!
