I like forest biomes, but mainly if they are slightly hilly and not completely flat, and i like when they are near beaches or rivers because it seems more realistic, pretty and just all around pretty cool.
Jungles: Ocelots, rich mines (usually), beautiful scenery, cocoa plants, TREE HOUSES, Jungle Temples, fertile soil, a lot of wood, plenty of room for building (just gotta look).
The desert villages in the snapshot look amazing when you build a nice (sandstone) castle near them. Therefore, deserts. Forests are nice too, but I hate swamos and extreme hills (soooooo much ugly... OK terrain, bad look!)

Did something happen to you in your childhood to give you this unreasonable fear of rutabaga?
Interesting. These results are NOT AT ALL what I was expecting. I was expecting forests to win by a landslide, and I had no idea so many people liked extreme hills!
I like Extreme Hills that are next to a Taiga because I like building my house into mountains (I'm not very good at making the outside of the house look very good... just saying.) One thing i do hate about being in a mountain house though, ALL THE CARVING THROUGH THE WALLS, AUGHHHHH.I still like them, as long as they are next to a Taiga, i might even make my house in a Taiga someday, who knows! (like I said I'm a bad builder)
I like plains because I like the way it looks, you cant get lost, theres lots of chickens, (generally) and it's easier to build on because its so flat.
Edit: I didn't include mushroom biomes because thats a no brainer.
I will add the ocean biome because I just realized thatocean biomes include small islands, and not just ocean.
The desert is flat, too. If you just remove the cactuses, tada! You have a nice place to build on(BYOW: Bring Your Own Water!)

I think swamps have the most area to grow and develop, being that they've remained all but unchanged since their implementation. I've always thought certain changes would really bring it to life, such as tree mushrooms (mushrooms attached to trees, not tree-sized mushrooms), animals, different types of trees/woods, etc.
I have six. My absolute favorite is the snowy taiga mountains, due to the snow, spruce wood, and how both wolves and foxes (especially the snowy fox) spawn here along with most other animals. It's too bad snowy taigas are already rare and finding the mountain variant is extremely hard without biome finder or the locatebiome command. (A link to the biome finder is here https://www.chunkbase.com/apps/biome-finder#8610185943635256589) I also have some nostalgia with it as the first time I played survival mode back in 1.3 this is where I spawned.
My favorite nether biome is probably the warped forest. No mobs spawn there but endermen making it a pretty peaceful biome for the nether and most of the nether's resources are there. Also there's tons of warped wood there, which is really like the design of and it doubles as being fireproof! When I'm gathering ender pearls for the end this biome is incredibly helpful as I can just go walking around and kill endermen the entire day without having to go mad from waiting in a desert for their rare spawn.
This is probably an uncommon favorite, but I actually like the end highlands. Yeah, it's impossible without bringing resources from the overworld, but if you bring a ton of iron and make farms, you're good. Also converting an end city into your own city is the most incredible thing. It's huge and looks amazing! Plus the chorus fruit is fun too.
When it comes to more challenging biomes, I used to enjoy extreme hills + (sadly these were removed, the closest biome to them now is gravelly mountains +). Shattered savanna is jaw-dropping if you find it on amplified, there's spires that go all the way to the 256 max building height
The hardest biome I can think of to survive in that's physically possible is snowy beach (previously known as cold beach). There's nothing but sand, snow, and ice. Wood is unbelievably rare, there are no animals or villages, there are no igloos, and the only structures that generate are shipwrecks which are hard to find here. It's a great challenge if you make it in a buffet world!
Short version: Snowy taiga mountains, I just like how it looks. Warped forest, all of the nether's resources without hostile mobs. End highlands, converting an end city into a house in amazing.
Lower favorites: Extreme hills +, extreme hills but even bigger. Shattered savanna, it looks extra chaotic. Snowy beach, challenge if you can't leave this biome.
