Do you play Minecraft vanilla? Or do you use mods? Why, and what mods do you use?
I personally use the battlegear dual wield mod because I love to wreck me some skeletons!!
The only mod I ever use is the slime chunk finder, because I personally believe that finding slime chunks takes way too long. Other than that, no mods.
I use toomanyitems in singleplayer. But in Multiplayer. Well. The server I play on has a whole bunch of mods. I can only name one.
Supernatural players! =D
I hate that people can't see the wonder that Mojang has created; the way they have balanced the game and continue to do so.
Texture packs, especially ones that alter the game only slightly, reflect a personal customisable element of the game that allows you to put a subjective tilt on the game without changing the game itself. Modding, though, is modifying or adding to the game's code and ruining the balance that Mojang's hard work has produced.
We always play vanilla.
It's as much your right to tell someone else how to enjoy the game as it would be for me to tell you how to enjoy it.
If you are having fun and enjoying the game, nothing else really matters.
Yes I play vanilla. I used to play with so many mods back in 1.0 (Tale of Kingdoms, Mo'Creatures, Millenaire, and about a dozen others) , but after getting my save corrupted and losing all my hard work, I started using less and less mods. In 1.1, I was using Inv Tweaks, Rei's Minimap, those kinds of helpful mods. By 1.2, I had gone completely vanilla. I guess I started modding because I thought vanilla was boring, but now I see that it's not. Back then, I had no building skill whatsoever, but now I do, so I find it more pleasurable to build than mod.
I played Vanilla all the way from 1.3 to about 1.6_3-ish. Then I used only Mo' Creatures until 1.8, then Vanilla from 1.8 until 1.2.2, and now Im using the Technic Pack!

It activates a timer in Notch's office. If he doesn't update Minecraft in 1 hour, rocket turrets blast his office building to bits.

I hate anything that makes minecraft feel out of the ordinary so I mainly stay 100% Vanilla with only a texture pack that barely changes anything or just makes everything look smoother.
I play with no mods or texture packs. I don't want to be at the mercy of mods every time there is an update.
On a more snobby related note, I also don't want to be dependent on texture packs to achieve the look I want on creations. I have a greater sense of accomplishment creating something that looks good when I do it in the default appearance. ... but I only hold myself to that standard and try to not judge others on it.
