I do whatever that comes into my mind.
Exploring, mining, rebuilding/expanding my house, randomly killing passive mobs, whack down trees with my Axe...do you get the idea...?
Here it is in a nutshell: play on normal difficulty, wake up on shore, punch trees, build a house, go mining, go to the Nether, kill Endermen, find a stronghold, go to the End, kill the Ender Dragon, come back, get blown up by creeper, delete world. Make a new world.

I'm still using Windows 7.
I said this. Two days later, my computer's motherboard melted down and I had to get a new one with Windows 8.
I normally make a simple house which I then expand to contain some farms.
I also explore caves as I almost always find caves that I never manage to fully explore.
First thing I do is establish a base. A base usually consists of a structure and a wheat farm surrounded by fences and torches, with a mine not too far awway. Once I've got a stable farm and strong structure, then I start mining out the diamonds and building up the library and diving head first into the Nether, an later The End.

I usually take a boat ride from my shitty snow spawn point, where my logging cabin is, to meet my faithful dog Lord Woofington. He lives in my nice house across the sea. Then we go biffing stuff in caves. I always return to my crappy spawn though - I built a far-too-elaborate mob grinder there.
I like to build with the landscape. I search long and hard for a spawn location that inspires my imagination.
Then i build small. Really small. From then on my base grows with my needs and the landscape.
My time in minecraft is then a mix of gathering resources, designing my base of operations, exploring, building key canals and transportation services, and a bit of nether for fun.
I try to slow down and enjoy the sunrises/sets as i find them the most beautiful.
Here is a nice moment from the bridge by operations.
i play sim ant per say lol i go underground and i tunnel and make a vast network that eventualy spans any a chunk all conected by rails =) then go nether and farm gold and make a room outa gold...
I like to 100% modernize my "camp",which means harvesting everything in sight, build lots of things and expand from there, usually takes around 2 to 3 weeks to get where I want it to be,but after that it's smooth sailing from there.

What I've currently done in my current world:
Created a treehouse base in the Jungle biome.
Found 20 Diamonds, created Diamond Pick.
Found better place to settle than Treehouse.
I plan to:
Create a nice base and use the effective Minecart with Chest Storage System when I get enough Iron and Gold. That would make for easy storage.
Get some wolves to add to my 4 cats.
Make a nice mine and find 64 Diamonds legitimately.
That's about all I have planned.
Started moving to better place than Treehouse.
You should actually just make a GIGANTIC fortress (bigger than a NICE BASE) and a tunnel leading to all your creations in your world in case you get lost!
But what do YOU usually do in Minecraft?
If you post, I'll give you a
