Title says it all. Before 1.9 hit, everyone had already built at least a house in the End, if anything, as a memento for defeating the Ender Dragon. Respawning him is almost a must, unless you want to make an endless bridge to the nearest body of floating land to find Elytras and End Cities.
What did the Dragon destroy of your creations?
I had it "easy" because I just had a small, totally Endermen-proof house with some crops and a Cobblestone Path from spawn to portal, just to show the Endermen who's boss.
The Dragon destroyed the enclosed area of the old portal, a good half of said house, and erected an obsidian pillar on the Cobblestone path.
Not a big loss as I said, because he spared my chests and I was able to just rebuild the base, mine the base of the pillar to make a cool passage through it, and enclose the new portal area.
I even added more crops and claimed an obsidian pillar, shaping it into a tower, and also enclosed the newly spawned portal to the outer End, on both ends.

What about you?
