Who actually attains the Adventuring Time achievement in a Large Biomes world? Has anyone here?
Very difficult but not impossible. I've never heard of anyone doing it. If you used one of the seeds in the seeds forum that has all the biomes guaranteed around spawn it would be considerably easier.
i dont usually play large biomes unless i want to stay in a single large biome all the time (such as a large snowy biome, or a hard desert survival)
I like the considerable size it gives me for building single biome bases and I'm obsessed with plains that stretch as far as the eye can see, in every direction. I'm probably never gonna find a mesa (if I do, it will likely be too far to even be worth traveling to from my other bases via nether rail). I haven't even found a desert yet.

For large biomes I consider a nether portal travel network a must. You will travel 8 times faster, which means that to travel 10,000 blocks you only need to travel 1,250 blocks in the nether. If you make your travel passages big enough for horses you could ride your horse to get from portal to portal and then ride out and explore the overworld from where you come out at. Bring a large map and ride around and map a 2048x2048 area or bring 9 and map out a 6144x6144 area. If you did the 9 maps thing you could make a map wall by each portal and place portals every 768 blocks in your network.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
