I'm thinking Between log and Iron. Log because you basically start your epic adventure in minecraft with tools that need wood... And iron because you use it to mine diamonds and gold etc.

Wood. You need wood in some way, shape, or form to do almost everything in Minecraft. From making buildings to tools and weapons.
