I'm familiar with hopper clocks, but i've not played around with them too much. I'm working on a design that needs a row of dispensers to fire off every 19 minutes (to flush baby villagers out of an infinite breeder). Will any hopper clock work for this?
If I understand it right, the time interval is based on the number of items passing between the hoppers, so any idea how many items would set it for 19 minutes?
Another more old school idea is to have a minecart on a track circuit where it has to fall through cobwebs. I can't remember how much time each cobweb buys you, but easy to figure out.

I would line up three 5-minute item despawn clocks (hopper spits a junk item onto a pressure plate). Items despawn in 5 minutes, so that's 15 minutes. It's a little faster than necessary, but still probably suits your intended purpose. If you really want 19 minutes, maybe put a 4 minute hopper timer on the back end of that sequence.

1266?
Think my chunk loader uses 50 items for a 45 second timer.
With a 20 minute clock/sensor there would be a small risk that some of the baby's would have time to grow up.
But how about using the sensor to set off the flushing twice a day? That shouldn't interfere too much with the breeding.
Just testing.
You might take a look at the clocks in the wiki here for ideas that suit you: http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Clock_circuit#Multiplicative_hopper_clock

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
