I was busy in a cave near bedrock level. Found about 3 and a half stacks of coal, 3 stacks of iron, 2 stacks of redstone, half a stack of gold, and 27 diamonds. I had more stone, gravel, and dirt than I knew what to do with. I had diamond tools and enough obsidian to make 4 portals. I walk through a small hole 2 blocks high and 5 blocks wide. I reach the end of it and there is a one block high, 3 blocks wide hole in front of me. I look both ways, all clear. Mine out the top and hop up, ready to get out of this cave (if I could ever find my way). I turn to my left, there's a pool of lava. I turn to my right, there's 4 creepers, 2 spiders, a skeleton and a zombie. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!
Running along at night and then Ssssss... so I automaticaly sprint jump, and his explosin blasts me forward and leaves me with half a heart. I die from fall dmg walking into a crater I haden't seen,and then 2 creepers and a zombie decided to T-bag my dead body.
1. I was harvesting wood (at night) by climbing trees and chopping down from the top. I was making sure to look around the base of the tree as I got near the bottom to make sure there were no monsters waiting for me. I'd fought off a few zombies/skeletons safely, but at the bottom of the tree I was in I saw a creeper. As I pulled out my bow to kill him a spider hit me from behind, knocking me out of the tree onto the creeper, which immediately blew up.
2. I was mining diamonds etc from my mine when a creeper dropped down behind me. I managed to hit him once with my sword, which knocked him back a bit but not enough. He blew up and threw me backwards into a lava pit. I'm not sure exactly what I lost, but I had a fair number of diamonds and iron.
3. I was working on my house. I typically build my house/fortress into the side of a hill or mountain. So I had my kitchen built, with lots of storage chests and furnaces, and was working on top of the hill to rebuild the ceiling/roof. The top was dark, so lots of monsters were spawning, but I was keeping a good eye out. While working, a creeper and a skeleton fell through the holes into my house, but they weren't bothering me yet so I left them. I finished what I was doing, and didn't have a bow yet so I figured I'd drop down, lure the creeper outside my house and kill it. I jumped down (and took a little bit of damage) and started leading the creeper to the door. That's when the skeleton fired at me, and hit the creeper. The creeper turned around and charged the skeleton (standing in the middle of my kitchen!) and blew it up. I was fine, but my kitchen and stored items weren't.
Backing away from a creeper directly into another creeper which blew me back into the first creeper. Would have been ok had they not also been right at the side of my house. *sigh*
Once I was trapped in a city (walled city generator) and I raided a ton of dungeon buildings when a creeper just decided to sneak up from the side and kill me. Worst part was I did not know where I died so I lost all that cool stuff.

The explosion didn't kill me. I started falling until I landed in a deep lake.
"Oh gee! I sure am lucky!" I thought to myself.
And then, I see 3 creepers and a skeleton swimming towards me.
I lost an iron pick-axe that day...
